Well, there could be multiple causes for this bug, software and hardware. If your console is defective (a hardware problem), then it's impossible for them to fix that with a firmware update. In support of my post (and to show it's not fake) I have recorded a video with my console booting up, starting the Destiny beta and then pressing the sharing button. It correctly records and allows me to save/share the video once I press the button (for the first time since my console booted). You...
no, just modify what the sharing button does (between standard and easy screenshots modes)
Well, for me it fixed it. I'll see if I get another answer though.
The article is updated to clarify that I was calculating the entire revenue generated.
No, I updated the article. This is the entire revenue generated by selling the game and everything else around it, not what's Rockstar getting. It's still a huge number.
It supports the DS3 at launch and it will support the DS4 when PS4 will be available (via a firmware update).
I wish it were already available in other parts of the world and I hope we'll be able to play Killzone: Mercenary once the DS4 support is added.
they should have, but what's done it's done. they need to take a very serious look at the future and tweak their offer according to their targeted customers. that will get them up again.
casuals bought the Wii as a toy, not a console. that's why there's such a huge difference between hardware and software sales (if you don't count the bundled games). there are always families with kids that could do very well with a Wii U, but Nintendo has to reach a good price point for them to actually decide to get it. on the other hand, those dedicated fans are still waiting for the games to come out. look at Pikmin 3 and its success on the UK market (entered second in the UK ...
Such a huge price cut (from 350 to 200) could spell disaster for them. It sends a bad vibe. It tells the market they are desperate, which they're not. 300 is a realistic expectation for this year, unless they're betting on the low availability of next-gen systems. Of course, not many gamers will buy it as their only console, but their main target is not the core gamer out there, but the casual gamer and obviously the dedicated fan, so having three consoles with three different price p...
so, one of my scenarios could be right. it seems they are NOT replacing him right this instant (if Kotaku is right with this memo).

what this means is that Balmer wants a firm grip on this division for a while and in the meantime he can decide what to do with it and who to put in charge. this is temporary, so it's not his final decision...
This actually opens up an interesting question. With Don Mattrick leaving, does it mean that Microsoft will cater to or target a different crowd with Xbox One? Will they shift towards more mature/core gamers or will they continue their assault on the living room? If Phil Spencer is upgraded, then we could see some interesting shifts and twists taking place, but I fear their need to grow is bigger, so they'll probably go for Yusuf Mehdi or someone like him.
I wouldn't trust Phil Harrison with the Xbox One launch. Sony trusted him with the PS3 launch and we all know how that went. He "resigned" from his position with Sony in February 2008 and he hasn't done much since. He took a position with Infogrames (later Atari), then with Gaikai for a while and he is now with Microsoft, which makes him a valid choice (given his current and past positions), but then again, I wouldn't trust him with the Xbox One launch, unless they'r...
good point on the "production"... I overlooked that..thanks...I'll edit the text.
how good it is...it is debatable. I'm usually speaking from a business perspective and if it sells, it's good for the business and valued by the players who buy it. call of duty sales will decrease over time. it's impossible to sell each year more and more units. ppl will get tired of it someday, but that day is not today.
it's also on Altex, another big romanian retailer

True! Either way, it has nothing to do with the subject. I'm not criticizing/judging the series or its titles, just using this announcement to speak frankly on what's going on with these preorders. And btw, when I said there are very few chances Ghosts can fail, I meant the sales. I edited the text :) Thanks!
free for all is a little tougher, but team deathmatch and capture the flag are ok. I like tdm more :)
And know you now everything there is to now know :)
I guess today I was to keen to... "know" :) Anyway, I hope you found it interesting. The hype for the Feb. 20th announcement just went up a notch :)
post updated with Shuhei Yoshida's answer.
