Why would you swap the two?
As someone who has owned both elite series 1 and 2 I can attest to this. My bumpers broke off my original about a month into using if. I was able to fix it via taking controller apart easily but still. You should not have issues like that one month into using controller especially when it was $150.00. So far so good with series 2.

Have you seen this controllers features? Your standard controller does not have anywhere near as many features.
