I was already convinced. I have never missed a single Final Fantasy games in my life. If it is a main numbered game then I buy it. I might find some less appealing than the others but I have never hated any one of them. That is why I am a Final Fantasy fan. :-)

I imagine that someone who is ready and willing to spend more money on a PS4.5 will not see the problems with it. The problems are there only for the ones who cannot or do not want to upgrade. The problems are both psychological and physical.
Right now I have the most powerful home console in the world. I was proud of my purchase as there was no better Playstation console than it. If PS4.5 launches then suddenly my console will be outdated and I will feel bad about owning it....
I agree with the author. The whole point of a console is a single fixed hardware unit for the whole generation. If you want to upgrade hardware mid-gen then just buy a PC. Consoles have never worked that way and they will not work if Sony tries. People game on consoles for affordability and multiple hardware releases throws affordability out of the window. People will feel forced to upgrade or feel stuck with an old outdated console.
Lelo, I agree with you for once. I will never support a PS4.5 with upgraded hardware even though I am a Sony fan. It is just wrong and defeats the purpose of owning a console.
The game is set after Mass Effect 3 but we dont know how long and how they got the technology for intergalactic travel. Maybe after the destruction of the reapers, they reverse engineered the technology to find ways to travel to other galaxies. We will only find out once teh game releases.

Every customer evaluates a product based on personal reasons and preferences. What is so unnatural about that? There are similar personal reasons for other gamers too. Xbox fanboys hated and bashed Order 1886 to its doom for being short, shallow and lacking multiplayer. Now they get a very similar game and they are praising it to high heaven. They want it to be reviewed for what it is. They want a new IP to be given a chance. There are a lot of reasonable explanations. For example, I just bought my PS4 and I do not want to buy another one to stay up-to-date. If I choose not to buy one then I will be left with an outdated console that runs games worse than the gamers who have the money to upgrade or who bought recently. 4K console gaming with modern graphics is impossible man. Do you know the kind of CPU and GPU setup and cooling solution needed to run a modern game at 4K resolution. It requires at least a $600 GPU!
