That is actually pretty interesting. There is a sweet spot for how long a normal battle should last I'm sure. You wouldn't want it to make more sense for players to simply ram each other and board the ship then shoot each other with guns. That could be remedied with ship progression(stronger hulls, speedier sails, etc)I think. Kind of create a ship build for how you want to approach ship battles. I dont think Rare has shown anything involving playing solo. Its too early to start discussing the content. They add things on a regular basis for testing, so what you experience one week is a little different the next at this point. So something someone might leak could end up not even being in the game, or be entirely different when the game is finished.

There is enough already going on for 4 people without adding a tedious cannon loading mechanic.
