When I finally sat down to finally play this, I was immediately disappointed by the lack of controller support.
Strange to see how the PS5 design brings out the extreme in people. Some love it, others hate it.Personally I think it's hideous and I will stick out like a sore thumb in my entertainment center (yes, I have it preordered as it's about the games) but Sony should have designed it to better fit a rack mount profile like other AV hardware. Not saying it needs to be a brick at all, but better suited to fit most entertainment centers and AV racks.
A lot of people don't seem to grasp that. Sony already said 99% of the ps4 library should work, I doubt every game will need a patch because if they did, then that 99% would be a lot lower. On the plus side, since I never finished this game, It may be time for another go at it, well, after the PS5 is delivered :)
The New Zealand one is scheduled an hour before the official launch of the system., and I believe it's also the 1st country, based on time zone, that the Series X|S will officially launch. Would be surprised if it's anything more than a launch party
Not a fan of branded buttons on remotes.
thought the article was going to be full of sarcasm.... instead it's actually serious about itself.... Either the writer has almost no idea about the game market and where this Atari stands or it's a paid ad made to look like a story.
45 minutes, 2 Xbox Series X consoles (1 mine, 1 for my brother)
Last week, it took a few hours to get my PS5 after the surprise preordering fiasco.
Xbox was easier this time around (actually, last gen too)
To be fair, Amazon didn't go live until around 8:45am PST (for me at least) and Best Buy shortly after. Both sites were nowhere near as bad as they were last week during the PS5 fiasco, probably because most people probably though the sites were down and systems sold out. Got 1 from Amazon around 8:45 for my brother. Me? Got one from the MS store, but it took 17 minutes. After the long loads and errors the site started telling me I hit my limit. Couldn't check the cart or anything. Op...
Well.... problem is, Devs and ofcourse MS and Sony will talk up their systems.... we really won't know how they REALLY are until everyone gets their hands on the actual systems and games.Until then, every story is just assumptions based on available tech.

A few years back I would have said 2, but as of late, just like the real media, even major gaming sites will jump on a rumor without verifying in the race to be 1st. While some have been true, many, many, MANY other rumors are just outlandish, too unbelievable or ridiculous to be remotely true
Maybe the future of portable gaming, but not console gaming.at least not for a long time.
A better title would be "Beath of the Wild 2 has the potential to be the best Zelda game"
I mean, we have nothing on it. No gameplay, updates, nothing. Once demos hit the con circuit (E3, SDCC, Gamescom, TGS, etc) then MAYBE this article would have a leg to stand on, but until then, nope.
The whole lionsgate movie aside (which was the 1st thing that hit me) Why hasn't Sony and Microsoft fought then? (or did they and I just missed it?)
I mean, Gears of War is a 3rd person action game you you splatter other things as well. You can't even use GoW unless it's obvious what console you are talking about. I could understand Sony struck down "deity of war" or something along those lines, but Hearing "Lords of War" makes me thing we were getting...
We could always go back to when Japan would get consoles months to a year+ before the rest of the world. Yeah, a simultaneous launch could be tight on supply, BUT a day 1 purchase is still possible. I managed to get most of the last few consoles I own on Day 1 and only 1 was preordered (Switch) and even then I was able to sporadically find 3-4 for sale at retail the 1st week. What will determine if these are easy to find or not will be the final MSRP.
Feels like there are 2 groups with this logo.... 1st group sees it as a waste (and with the CES build up from gaming sites, a let down) and the 2nd group sees it as a part of Sony's master plan to destroy the competition.
I mean... it's just a logo.... Establishing the brand's look. Nothing really more or less. Feels like something added to the CES presentation last second. Major PS5 news will surface at some major gaming event, 1 of Sony's direct videos or ...
Not everyone cares about achievements... As a productive member of society that wants to play games,I do not have the time to squeeze every last drop out of a game. If I did, i'd only have time for 2-3 games a year. I want to play all the games, so once completed, I move on to the next.
So many reasons.... The OG xbox was a tank compared the the various PS2 models, japanese made exclusives were/are slim, game selection was slim (not sure , Even multi-platform games tend to skip the xbox. Microsoft needs to capture the AAA Japanese games as well as the weird and quirky. I mean look at a japanese weekly top 10 list and get those types of games. And more than just a handful.Could probably go on for hours..... but have to get back to work.
Current publishers don't even use 16-32GB cards when they easily could (looks at Capcom).
Sure, 64GB would be nice, and with the drop in storage prices as of late can only help, 1 can hope publishers start tacking advantage to the larger cards sooner rather than later.
It most certainly doesn't need a disc-less version. While it would be nice for some, if the next gen starts using 100GB Blu-rays for games (same as Ultra HD movies) then imagine game download sizes. Not everyone has access to 100+MBps internet meaning LOOOOONG downloads.
Also, if MS doesn't allow for upgradable internal storage or at least USB 3.1, then another round of issues will crop up. Internal storage will only fit a few AAA games whereas external storage wil...
Someone didn't read the article.... Alpha 1 and 3 were not on the SNES, Alpha 2 was. I own a copy from a rental store :)
