Ah heck, I wasn't going to comment, but I will.

Okay, let's begin at the top: Bioshock Infinite came out on Tuesday the 26th. This review was completed on the 29th. I'm not sure where 3 days = one week plus, but whatever.

Second reason is that not every site out there got an advance review copy of the game, so some of us had to wait 'til release to do our coverage. But oh well, it happens. Some folks out there still haven't played the gam...

Of COURSE the opinion should be involved. Yes, a review is there to inform, but a review is nothing more than a fancy way of saying "opinion".

What do you think a review is? It's someone's thoughts and impressions based off of their experience with a certain form of media (or anything else). It is an OPINION. You can't put the job of having someone share their impressions of a video game on a person without taking to account that said person will have OP...

Once again, to clarify: I'm not defending the review itself, I'm defending the logic behind having a review that is contrary to popular opinion.

Yes, there are logical ways to give Uncharted 3 a 4/10, just like you could give any great game a sub-standard score. It's all personal opinion.

I do agree that this probably shouldn't have been a review, per se, but I certainly don't think the message loses any value.

Yes, I&#...

Why do you have to be a fanboy to not like something? I don't even own a PS3, I've never played Uncharted 3 or any of the Uncharted games. I'm not agreeing that the game deserves a 4/10, I'm defending the reviewer's right to give the game a score he feels it deserves.

Experiencing a game is completely, 100% subjective. I'm sure that Uncharted 3 is a fantastic game in almost every area. However, like I said in my article, that doesn't mean that some...

Reviews are very subjective. This one happened to be the opinion of one person. I personally didn't write the review or play the game, so I can't say.

As for the comments, perhaps the person who reviewed it shared it and his friends commented. I can't stop that. Plus, if I wanted to generate interest, why would I only have ONE review on a pretty obscure little game get the comments? Don't read so much into it.

I encourage you to check out the review if you haven't already. A 7.5 is by no means a bad score and I think the review gives it a lot of credit.

Both Age of Conan and LOTRO have doubled (or in LOTRO's case, tripled) their revenues compared to their time as an exclusively pay-to-play game since going free-to-play.

In most cases, it's a business model that just works, especially when you need to compete with WoW for that recurring fee each month.

This is a very, VERY subjective game. I expected DNF to sell well solely off the hype, but you're probably going to also see a lot of disappointed folks. Some people will really enjoy it but I think a lot more will be let down. Then again, like ShinraE5 said, go off your gut and enjoy what you want to enjoy.

It all really boils down to T11 being obsolete. The raids won't be awarding Valor Points anymore, the gear is old and the only reason to keep doing that content is either to complete it or to round off your gear when it comes to heading into Firelands. It's a smart move and it doesn't change the challenge of the Heroic modes of these raids either.

I agree completely with this mindset. If you isolate yourself in the game or play in a guild that doesn't share a sense of community or at the very least the STYLE of play you want to have, you're going to have a very hard time enjoying WoW. However, if you join a guild that you actually have fun with - or heck, even a server of people you like to play with - you'll stay much, much longer.

The title is more of a hook than anything. I think the last part of the article pretty much sums up why I don't think single-player is going anywhere any time soon.

Rock Band 3 is good if you're interested in any of the extra Pro features or even the Keyboard. Aside from that, there isn't much other reason unless you really dig the soundtrack.

I'm hoping that the next Rock Band will move the genre forward without the need for buying new instruments again. Not sure how, exactly, but hey, can always hope.

Well, that's the thing. Project Cafe isn't going to be designed to compete with the next-gen Xbox or PlayStation consoles. It'll be designed as the next step up from the Wii to, as StifflerK said, take advantage of that "blue ocean" demographic. Whether or not Project Cafe is any good or accomplishes that goal remains to be seen, but the reason they do what they do is why you really can't lump them in the same field as Sony or Microsoft's consoles.

Honestly, I don't see how anyone can say this game is too short. Is it short compared to games like Elder Scrolls or GTA or any other open-ended 40+ hour RPG? Of course. But like I say in the review, you can only get so much life out of this game.

I think that, while you do end up doing a lot of puzzles in the game and it CAN feel a bit grating, I really enjoyed it and want to play more. I can't wait for the level creation tool, personally.

But yeah,...

Yeah, I remember reading about that prior to the release of the game. It was definitely a good move. I think my wife in particular can attest to that. haha

Thank you, btw. :)
