I bought Hardline for $60, and Sniper Elite 3 for $9 during the sale, and sadly I have only sunk a few hours into Hardline whereas I play SE3 to death. Same for the latest COD, paid full price and barely play it cuz of SE3.
Or maybe it's just a really great game? I am a X1/PC gamer but the excellence of this game cannot be argued.
