LOL, there is still people who think Xbox matters and that putting a game on it would help with sales.
Going multiplatform won't even help. Switch (and Switch 2 as well) are underpowered, so you'd have trouble running the game on those.
Xbox is just so irrelevant that it won't give you any boost to your number.
PC is the only other option to boost your numbers. Well not exactly true. Releasing on PS4 would have done it, but you'd be gimping your games.
Leaving the PS4 behind should have been done a year after the release...

Except this PC will not play games as well as the PS5 Pro. The PS5 Pro is optimized solely for gaming and its games are made for it. That's not the same for this PC. Have fun playing games at 1080p/60fps or 1440p/30fps on this PC, that's all you're getting and with settings lowered as well.
I even saw a guy claiming he built an equivalent with a 3060. Sorry, but if you build something with even a 4060, it's not going to hold up to a PS5 Pro. In fact, a XX60 ...
I bet the normal PS5 will have fidelity and performance mode. I am good with performance mode, it already looks good enough on every games. Not going to spend 700$ for an upgrade with barely any difference to current performance mode.
With the reactions today, I don't think you're going to have to worry about scalpers if you want one, since it's likely not going to be in high demand.
It's good to have hope, but you will only be disapointed. That didn't mean FF16 was coming at all. The fact that it's coming to PC and wasn't announced for Xbox should tell you everything: It's not coming to Xbox at this point. Not that it would matter, it's not like it would sell enough to make up for the amount of money they spent porting it.
Pretty sure it's never going to happen. They're not even giving them FFXVI. Square-Enix only seems to give Xbox the scraps.
If the Series S is a problem, developers should just start skipping Xbox altogether. It's not like they will get much sales from the Xbox ecosystem anyway, so why bother porting a game there? They won't even touch it unless it's on gamepass and Microsoft's money for gamepass deals has dried up
You would think a game running at 30fps would be visually impressive, but the graphics look like trash. Developers are really starting to get lazy and/or the Xbox Series S is trash and holding devs back.
No, you need shorter releases period, not between grand epics. Grand epics needs to disappear completely, that's not sustainable.
If you want bigger games, you need to go back to simpler visuals instead of trying to improve them. Just because you get better consoles or computers, doesn't mean you should keep pushing the envelop. Graphics need to stop improving and devs need to focus more on all other aspects, like gameplay, story and performance.
You got to love unreliable leakers with absolutely no credibility. There is not a single reliable leak about the PS5 Pro. I mean seriously, they were so sure about the Switch Pro too and guess what? It never happened.
@Cacabunga The sad part about Bend is that I am pretty sure people wanted Days Gone 2, but we're getting an unknown gaas instead. It could end up good like Helldivers 2 or be as bad as Concord, it's a 50/50 chance though.

I got Astro Bot, Visions of Mana, Metaphor Refantazio and Ys X preordered for this year. Was also lucky to snag an astro bot controller.
Yeah, the Steam Deck is still going to outperform it. Let's not speak about the other handhelds, who all perform better than the steam deck, but have shitty battery life.
The Steam Deck is the system to buy. You can even play most Switch games on it at better performance than the actual Switch can. I hope Switch 2 is quickly emulated.
It should be:
1) Gold/Silver/Crystal
2) Red/Blue/Yellow
3) Ruby/Saphire/Emerald
The rest can be put in any order you want.
They won't go multiplatform because Xbox wouldn't help with the sales. In fact it would be so bad that it would likely cost more to port than they would make back.
