I've got a ps3, and when compared to 360, ps3 sucks. If it wasn't for the HD movie playback, I would have already sold it. I would cry if all I had was a ps3.

N4G was a credible site before Sony Protection Group and SDF highjacked this site. Now it's one big sony ad, and a 360 smear campaign. I own a ps3, and I detest sony fanboys, they are by far the biggest losers of the fanboy varieties.
I didn't read your whole post but in my opinion the ps3 is the biggest rip off since the 3do. Also, I don't care for people who are emo anime fans, in other words most ps3 fans. Sony fans are the embodiment of the "weirdo gamer" stereotype, Playstation Home will galvanize that even further. For example, I play Halo 3 with my girl, she likes it and has fun. But I wouldn't play or even try to play MGS4 with her, simply because I wouldn't want her to think that I was a weird pervert.
I don't think the hatred stems from owning different products. I think it stems from people who lie and slander against a console that they have no experience with. I know that I can handle someone elses differences, what I detest is when someone blatantly lies or blows something entirely out proportion regarding a console or game.

Those "issues" aren't that big of a deal, they are more like minor annoyances. The game plays just fine.
Actually, N4G is cesspool of Sony fanboys, and Sony Protection Group contributors. I've studied some of the people on this site. The people that run this site seem to be o.k. folks, but allowing the SPG to control the news makes this site look bad.
I believe that they must be referring to exclusive killer app's. The ps3 has games, just no must have exclusives.

Even at that rate, it would be over 2 years before the ps3 caught up. I understand that fanboys want their favorite console to win the console wars. But at some point you have to get real. Matching 360 sales in the U.S. would have to happen for the ps3 to ever catch the 360. But still, it would take longer than a year. I'm thinking realistically,btw.
Black Friday is the busiest shopping day of the year in the U.S. To women it's like a holliday, to most men it's a freakin nightmare.
point of interest- I read in a study a few years back, that the averages males stress level of shopping on Black Friday was comparable to that of a fighter pilot while in combat.
Although I agree that it's nice to see ps3 sales pick up, the ps3 will not catch the competition in 2008. The ps3 would have to sell 600,000 consoles a month for a year to catch the 360 and Wii, and that's only if neither one sold a single console during that time. If the ps3 outsold the Wii and 360 by 100,000 every month for the next 5 1/2-6 years it would just be catching up.
Do you honestly think that just because it's sony, developers are going to turn their back on the console that is breaking attach rate records? The only devs that are going to do that, are devs that sony paid to do so. Get real.
I agree with both you and this article. If someone buys a game console to game and likes a decent movie occasionaly, then the 360 is what they need to buy. If someone is a videophile and occasionaly plays games, then the ps3 is a decent choice.
I disagree, with the struggle part. With double the install base of the ps3, getting exclusives should be easier for the 360. Not to mention the record breaking attach rate of the 360. I do think that a price cut will come though, (probably late 2008)but it will be a planned price-cut unassociated with any kind of struggle. As for 2008, the gaming media hasn't started to focus on that yet, but when they do 360's 2008 line-up will be just fine.
If I had been smart, I wouldn't have bought into the hype that was around the ps3. It's not even close to the gaming machine sony hyped it to be. If I had it to do over, I wouldn't buy it.
