The term “Soulslike” has become ridiculously diluted. I have seen it used for games just because they are difficult.
PS Now superseded Gamepass by about 2 years. Also worth noting that PS plus actually did start as a games only subscription service before Sony rolled PS network into it to start charging us for online play. The only thing thing Microsoft were ahead of the curve on here was forcing console players to pay for online play.
Sony refunded digital purchases and disk copies are currently auctioning on eBay for at least £10 more than they were bought for. Yes people who bought the game can no longer play it but at the very least they have lost nothing and in some cases have even profited.
Nowadays it’s a pretty safe bet to assume that if Phil Spencer, Matt Booty or Sarah Bond say one thing, Xbox will do the complete opposite within 2-6 months time.

@qalpha 40,000 people, most of which I imagine haven’t even bought the game or talked to a real life woman. If the sales of the game come below 60,000 you will be right, it will be the majority crying about this. Considering it’s on track to sell over a mil in the first week you will more likely be wrong, the majority just want to play the game. The discourse around it has been genuinely embarrassing from the offset.
I think you’re mixing up the few and the majority here. The majority of people just want to play a good game, the few want to kick up a fuss because of a couple of aesthetic changes to what was shown in the run up. I’m having a lot of fun with it and unsurprisingly Eve’s outfits or the lack of racist graffiti has had literally zero bearing on my enjoyment.

I used to be an Xbox only player until MS banned me, didn’t communicate to me that I was banned, couldn’t tell me why I was banned and offered no official appeal process aside from begging volunteer moderators on twitter. I bought a PS4 a few days later after hours spent arguing with useless MS customer service and haven’t looked back.
I remember when gamers didn’t act like such entitled little children. No one was obligated to set up a free play day but they have. If you can’t play tomorrow or your router is a potato then chalk it down to a loss and move on with your life. This will make a fair amount of people who were on the fence about buying either of these games very happy….thank you $ony!
What is with the constant “Starfield was the 1st/2nd selling game last month in ______”….of course it was. It was the most hyped and highly anticipated Bethesda game in over a decade going up against niche AAs and middling AAA games. Is this actually a shock to anyone?!
Don’t buy or upgrade cars….got it. Looking forward to playing the entire game with a base model Honda Civic.
Maybe go back and actually read the article. The video being commented on was made by a rando (unaffiliated with CDPR) and it was a CDPR dev who has come out and said this type of video is not good for the industry.

This is such a good take which so many people don’t seem to get. MS haven’t actually created anything universally appealing this Gen outside of a Forza Horizon reskin and a Halo downgrade. By the time we hit the three year mark at least half of the console exclusives would have been games Xbox players would have got anyway. Had MS pumped the billions they have spent on publishers into development of their existing studios they might have actually produced something new and decent by now.
This reviewer gave it exactly the same score as he did when it released on Xbox last year….who are these “same people”?
