Whoa, major infestation here.
Vista was fine for gaming before SP1 and even better after. I've played Enemy Territory since its release on Vista with no issues. WoW runs fine and Crysis is more than playable it's actually quite enjoyable.
If you're moving to Vista just make sure you also move to something better than that old Athlon XP.
Your system is mostly up to date all hardware is likely Vista certified. I've never had a problem with Vista on two systems. Old was AMD Opteron 170,4GB ram, X1950Pro. My new system runs very smoothly. C2D @ 3.4GHZ, 2GB ram, 8800GT 512.
It's good to research compatible hardware and software before upgrading to Vista.
Thank god somebody noticed.
When the janitor at Microsoft quits it means they're going out of business..
Why no talk like that from the Sony fans now?
It sucks that this has to happen but it's only extra content.
It's not a core part of the game that's going to hurt gameplay.
SP1 has been working perfectly for me since the RTM was released. Of course I reboot about once a week and I hate external hard drives.
I've been gaming on Vista since retail release with no real problems. People just need to learn to use compatible hardware.
Where in that post does he sound angry?
Microsoft killed my puppy.
Why wouldn't MS just be throw in a combo drive and use 50GB HD-DVD discs for games? Blu-ray for mmovies.
Just because Blu-ray is likely to win the high def movie format war doesn't mean HD-DVD for all other applications is going to disappear the next day.
You're right that next gen is going to be all about price and exclusives.
Besides CPU/RAM/Graphics systems the next gen Sony and MS consoles will probably share all the other hardware capabilities and likely media capabilities. There isn't much that Sony didn't include on the PS3 that Microsoft won't forget to put into the next Xbox.
Microsoft has problems but they're only on their second gen system and every new customer will be counted on picking up the next ...
This crap is silly.
Who cares who has to pay who what?
If MS HAD to use Blu-ray for their next console they would pay the BDA.
Blu-ray movies (some) still use Microsoft's VC-1, Micrsoft gets paid by Blu-ray associated companies.
Just because HD-DVD will likely lose the High Def media battle doesn't mean it's going to disappear in day. What if MS still uses it in their next console? There will be 50GB HD-DVD discs available and mayb...
The cars look great but the tracks look like crap and boring.
Sony is desperate to move a few extra consoles this month because of Halo 3!!!!!
I'm kidding.
pre-pre-pre alpha!!!!
zzzzzzz
discredit the author quickly!
This guy is right
this release has been nuked, it doesn't work.
360 actually had an increase in sales from last week.
Since when is "No" an educated opinion?
I must have looked over the part where you gave examples of what you found wrong with Vista.
