Good, not great. Shortness is an issue to be sure, but the main disappointment is the way the story fails to go anywhere interesting.
Agreed. This looks pretty awful to me, but I hate Civ V. Nothing wrong with continuing a franchise without fundamentally shifting the gameplay, I just wish they'd realized that one game ago.
What frustrates me about ESO is that the internet seems to want it to be the vanguard and exemplar of the pay model of MMOs, and I just -know- that when it fails, it's going to be yet another nail in that format's coffin.
That, to me, is a shame. The crappiness of ESO should -not- be held against an accounting decision, but I have a sincere feeling it will be.
Boo. The quicker they release these games, the sooner their licensing deal will run out so that someone can make a proper sequel to Fallout 2.
There are people who think material should be banned. I agree they are wrong.
It is just as wrong, however, to try and use the threat of censorship to stop anyone from criticizing products based on their depictions of women or other offensive material, which is precisely what this article is trying to do.
Who is taking anyone's rights away?
People have as much right to criticize their works as the creators do to produce them.
See, here's how I see it. When I played a game twenty years ago, I was captivated by the experience, and easily tricked into thinking worlds were real. Ten years ago, I was very willing to give developers the benefit of the doubt insofar as breadth of experience, given the youth of the industry and the limitations of the technology. I could see through the cracks, but I was willing to give them a pass. As time passes, though, I get less and less willing to just roll with it. When a ga...
Good news! Shadowrun Returns is really short!
...It didn't stack up terribly well against open world games of it's time, or even earlier for that matter. There's nothing terribly -wrong- with Fable two (see Fable Three for that) but it's just so pedestrian and unambitious that it's depressing.
...sigh
Just stop complaining about complaining already.
If you don't like what someone is saying, bring a counterpoint or ignore them. People discussing things on the internet is here to stay, guys.
The fact that companies have been increasingly listening to online chatter is because they feel it has a measurable impact on game and system sales. Are they right? I actually have no idea, but since it's their business to worry about t...
No offence buddy, but you are a bit late to the party on this.
This review doesn't oversell, it doesn't use hyperbole, it's something bigger. It shows game reviews have the potential to grovel shamelessly as any worm, if not surpass them.
...Phantasy Star 5? Pretty please? Meh, they don't read this anyway, I'm just a very sad and bitter old man shouting at the world, heh.
I just thought the quotes were weird.
less bugs? ha ha..oh it should be fewer, actually.
"we"? I do actually agree with you though.
Considering how long it is after the bombs fell that Fallout 3 is set, I hope they either roll back the clock or finally let people start to rebuild things instead of somehow still wearing clothes from 200 years ago and living in houses that are miraculously still standing five feet from where a bomb dropped (and have clearly not been maintained since then, either) eating food made about eight to ten generations before they were born, heh.
I appreciate everyone's concern for my life. I assure you it will continue or end irrespective of whether this game is successful. I'm just using a public forum to air my deep sense of jaw-drop gaping wonder at the idea that this game could be so successful with such a remarkably (and verify-ably) worse version. I really have a hard time attributing this to anything but fanboyism, and that's seriously a shame.
On the plus side, it won't kill me, no matter h...
I can certainly deal with it...especially if you don't own a PC. I just have a hard time believing that many people have an x-box but no PC. People can of course play however they like, but IF they are playing Minecraft on an X-box while they have a PC able to run it, they are making a bad choice, for the reasons stated above. There is quite literally nothing the X-box version has that the PC does not, and several things the PC does have that the X-box version lacks. Now, I agree, it ...
