The list seems to indicate that the next Xbox will launch in 2013, codenamed loop. Xbox PU seems to be something else. There is a Windows PU too.

They have a pretty busy holiday of exclusives, taking Kinect into consideration. Those 3 in September plus Gears of War 3, Kinect Sports 2 and Dance Central 2 in October and Halo, Kinect Disneyland and Kinect Star Wars in November. Plus a LOT more third party Kinect titles.

@ Strongman. It really depends on what the developers have done over that year. Harmonix could have just re-released Dance Central with 40 new songs, but they've added a ton of new modes and abilities so it's as much of a step up as one could expect from such a game.

Similarly, Rare could have just added a few new sports and called it a day. Instead they've added much finer tracking for sports such as darts, as well as over 300 voice commands (the first game had z...

Clearly you don't know what shovelware is if you think Dance Central and Kinect Sports is it. Shovelware typically refers to a game rushed out in favour of money over quality. That applies to 90% of casual sport and dancing games, but certainly not these two. Kinect Sports is FULL of content; easily more than any other motion collection of its type, and Dance Central is by Harmonix which is all that needs to be said really. It's easily the best of its class.

The hypo...

Someone disagrees with you. Clearly they know your 5 year old cousin better than you do!

It's the number one criticism of Kinect from Core gamers -- "How do you walk around? How do you shoot?". I wouldn't like to see a wand, just a nunchuck-like device with a trigger, analogue stick and a couple of buttons. Sure, you can play with a 360 controller too, but this would be much easier to wield with one hand. That, or a traditional 360 controller than can split in half would be awesome.

@Skv007 it was only up on the actual store page for about 15 minutes before it was switched to the one you see now. Go onto the BioWare forum, there are numerous people including myself who saw it.

That's just compression from the upload. Here's a direct link to the image, still on EA's Store site server (at the time of writing anyway) -- http://drh2.img.digitalrive...

Really? They seemed pretty enamoured with Kinect last year. There's Greg's comments in the story itself about trying out Kinect with ME3, and Bioware co-founder Ray Muzyka said this last year: "You could bolt it on, do it as afterthought, kind of 'Hey, Ta-dah! It's Kinect-enabled! Check!' Well, that's not how we would do it. We would actually try to think about how you do it in a way that actually makes the game better".

Not only that, but B...

The full list of game projects that may be announced for the 360 at E3 is over 60. 4 of those are dance/fitness titles.

You have clearly had little experience with Kinect if you think the voice control doesn't work most of the time. I have a thick British accent, and it works very consistently.

Plus I use voice recognition on my phone every day to call contacts, which works flawlessly too.

"Most people have realised it's stupid to buy games for Kinect and the main function is for menu's" is legitimately the dumbest thing I've read on the net all week.

That, and the fact that you think Kinect's best selling game (which wasn't strongly bundled with Kinect -- all Kinect's come with Kinect Adventures) in motion gamings most successful genre (Wii Sports Resort has sold nearly 30 million) releasing at Christmas time on the fastest s...

It's only an arcade title, and to be honest it's one of the few casual oriented mini games that I really want. It's just perfectly suited to Kinect, and I'd rather Microsoft do it than some crappy shovelware studio attempting a shoddy retail version.

Wait... you're saying people DON'T lose weight exercising at home? What a dumb thing to say. Whilst a gym is a great way to complement your exercise schedule, most people don't have the time or need to go daily, so doing a routine in the house is far more convenient and certainly better than sitting around (and, in this case, far from interactive and compelling than a fitness DVD).

Perhaps it is. It hasn't been fully unveiled yet!

It shouldn't be too complicated really. Using the depth cam, Kinect should easily be able to pick out an object from the environment like it can a human and place it in the game. The limitation would come from the cameras limited resolution. And the concept wouldn't really add much usefulness to most games, I can't imagine.

In other news, Sushi is outselling McDonalds in Japan!

Honestly though, I expected Move's sales lead to be greater given the 360's terrible performance in Japan. But I guess the Japanese just aren't big motion gamers.

Because there are plenty of Kinect games announced that aren't dance or kiddie games. Waltzing into an article about a technology you clearly have no interest in to ignorantly and wrongly try and present your opinion as a fact is the very definition of trolling. Incidentally all of these are due out in 2011 (and all are third party): Suda51's Codename D, Steel Battalion 2, the Panzer Dragoon teams Project Draco, Haunt from the creator of Parappa, The Gunstringer, Rise of Nightmares, T...

You must be the only person in the world who would describe a game with lines like "Worst sex in my life", and actions to cut people in half with a chainsaw as "casual". Sorry, but casual refers to the games content as well as it's control scheme. Casual gamers (gamers that don't play games as their main hobby and mostly play party/reality (pet, dance, music) games) certainly won't be playing this. I know my mom won't be.

They're a major publisher. Like most, they publish bad games and good games. It is still ridiculous to pick out the bad games in order to form a conclusion about any new IP, especially when you have no idea who is creating the game. Saying that it is an "uphill battle" for this to be of any quality at this stage in our knowledge of the title is utterly hyperbolic. It's only logical to be entirely neutral until we know more.

Ubisoft also created Your Shape: F...
