How many ships do they have in this game now? Like over 100, right?... That alone would worry me if I cared at all about this project. The game doesn't need more ships. The studio does as they're constantly in danger of funds running dry. This isn't how a healthy dev operates. Thousands of hours have been put into these ships when they should instead be put into delivering the game that's now a meme it's been delayed for so long.
Nah... I've got over 100 hours in this game now and I've got like... 5 helmets? I've gotta work my ass off to unlock tan armor?... I hope they don't make a lot of money and become less stingy with cosmetics. We're close to every dev nickel and diming us to unlock simple BS such as red and blue armor... That's what we're close to.
Because it's ridiculous looking and the tone doesn't match previous games. I think that's the criticism some are having with it.
I personally do consider it a bad thing, yes. If I were super hyped for a game, I wouldn't want to spend a decade waiting with still no firm release date in sight, littered with mega-transactions that range from hundreds to thousands of dollars. I think that business model is beyond garbage and I don't like the thought of it coming to games or franchises I enjoy.
Cool. When's it releasing? How many years need to pass before the community behind this game doesn't dismiss the question and attack me? Can I ask it at the 10 year mark? 15?
It's a shame the PC version is so rough right now.
I've always wondered what the gaming landscape would look like if Sega put a DVD player in the Sega Dreamcast. I really loved that system growing up but the PS2 buried it very deep in the ground.
I was nearly ready to pull my hair out when I saw that it STARTS at 399, but was relieved to see that all configurations had the same power potential, minus storage.
Looks like they learned their lesson with the steam machines, which is good.
They're literally all made by the same company, bud and every controller gets drift. By the way, I was wrong with my numbers up there. Way wrong. You can exceed the expected life of normal sticks after 400 hours of use. If you've never had drift, then you must not play very often. Replaced plenty of 360 controllers back in the day for this exact same reason. You could also google and find infinite pages of people complaining and asking how to fix said issue with literally any controll...
This looks quite bad once you see the up close photos... The buttons / ports look like they have clay or playdough smeared over them?... That paintjob with the rattlecan is also painful to watch. He actually has a paint run in the video because he's so close and drowning it in paint.

I don't understand why people seem to be blowing this issue out of proportion.
By now we've all seen the articles showing how Microsoft, Sonly and Nintendo joysticks are all made by the same manufacturer. they all have... I believe it's expected life of 10,000 hours of use?
EVERY controller I've ever owned eventually gets drift. Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo. It doesn't matter which console and it doesn't matter how far you go back...
I love things like this. Details that'll be missed by 99% of the players but is there for the super observant / someone who digs for more.
I haven't read the lawsuit, but I highly doubt they made millions when roms are so easy to find from a dozen other websites.
This'll play out just like when the music industry won lawsuits against every-day-joes for sharing music online. They'll win the lawsuit, but probably never see a penny as declaring bankruptcy is a lot cheaper than a few million.
That... is a bit of a strange oversight.
I really like that thumb wheel on the side.
I currently have a G502 and use every button available, so something with even more input options is nice without having to resort to those MMO mice that just have like, 12 buttons all clustered together.
It's very simple why people hate on those that support this title, and that's because you're encouraging this type of monetization strategy that makes most throw up in their mouth. You sound like one of the many that didn't mind people buying loot-boxes in Overwatch when the concept was new only for them to now infest many titles.
the game has been in development for nearly a decade with one of the largest budgets in history, all given by the people, and the...
You saw what the retail version would look like months ago?
Nah. I hate this game / dev as well, but honestly, there's never gonna' be a lawsuit. I'm sure they have it printed a million times in their agreement that you are putting your money towards a project in development and there is no commitment to see it through to the end, just like all Kickstarter / early access crap.
Honestly, I really want this game to crash and burn. It sets a really disgusting precedent as I don't like the idea of paying for a game 6 ye...
Ever been to Vegas? Night City doesn't strike me as the type of place where everybody's tucked in bed by midnight.
I'm gay and 100% agree.
