BS or not, what I'm taking away from this is Microsoft isn't shying away from pushing the graphics envelope again. In fact is seemingly embracing it contrary to much speculation.
This statement, and where and by whom it was released, cements really that Microsoft is planning to put graphical and technical prowess in the forefront of their next gen console.

Last year they sold 500K in June. This year they sell 507K. Since the X360 sales has been increasing every month, I would assume it would have sold at least 500K this month anyway. So the promotion didn't really help them.
By the way, Sony gives free PS3s with almost every Bravia TV they sell and for a $1 you can get a PS3 with any contract phone. Almost everywhere you have $100 deals when you buy a PS3, they also released a new bundle with Black Ops and free Black Ops DL...

Sadly it's going to be a success no matter what. Even if only 1% of CoD players subscribe that's still about 300.000 people paying Activison monthly.
Actually, I paid 600€ for my PS3 and it was worth even more at the time since Sony was losing about 100€ on it. The 3DS on the other hand looks like an overpriced garbage compared to the Vita. Nintendo s probably making $200 profit on that POS.
