Square Enix has two logical choices, seeing the harsh negative backlash on this issue...
Make a full game and stop making excuses.
or
Continue with this episodic garbage and watch as their sales plummit.
Fishy how close we are to the nuclear disarmament of all FOB's...
c'mon guys, lets make nuke owners wish they never created an FOB... give them hell
Yeah... only problem is that is hasn't come out yet.
Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy games and will continue to. They're just corporate as hell now, and it kills me how these developers could genuinely innovate if the bottom line wasn't a thing.
I don't judge the quality of anything by its sales... as far as I'm concerned, gaming is dead until:
Season passes are announced in unison with the first DLC. (DLC can be good)
All content is available to all players no matter where they bought it from, new or used, for whatever system, on or after release date (no pre-order bonuses).
Microtransactions are 100% fully eradicated from $60 AAA titles.
Basically a sitting in a waiting room with a bunch of 10 year old racists simulator
Gonna give the game a try when I can get the game+season pass for $60
Jaaaaaasoooooooon!
Jason?
JASON!
Jason.
JAAAAAAASOOOOOONNNNNNN?!?!
I'm glad they are quitting while they're ahead and they still have a legacy to leave behind. I dearly hope that they can leave Bloodborne alone too, I think a sequel would ruin it. I just want From to make different games... and I don't mean the same game with a different setting.
Of all time? Of the week? Of the month?
Further proving the Japanese are smarter than Americans.
It has a multi-meaning, because obviously the game was DESIGNED to leave fans feeling empty.
My list
1) Bloodborne
2) Fallout 4
3) Metal Gear Solid V (My favorite franchise, but the story in this one was a let down)
I haven't played these but they look superb:
Witcher 3
Battlefront
Just Cause 3
Only game I wanna see is Revengeance 2 made by Platinum... or show what Big Boss was up to during The Phantom Pain.
Do what you want without purchasing this crap (telling publishers that you approve of and desire the product) because it degrades the industry as a whole.
At one point in time the average gamer was smarter than the average person... looks like the times have changed. And since this is the biggest game on the market, every other publisher will try desperately to emulate these cut content practices and its business model.
This is brainwashing propaganda... unless they show who was really behind the attacks (hint: it wasn't fanatical Muslims)
Here's some related comedy that's 100% serious.

All the CoD and GTA squeakers are on PS4 now. Good thing I don't play multiplayer games designed for children and casuals
