"Sony didn’t leave out the box from the announcement because they’ve got something to hide. They left it out because it isn’t important. What’s important are the games."
It IS important, and anyone who claims otherwise is a LIAR, unless you expect everyone to believe you wouldn't care if the actual console ended up being a generic-looking beige PC tower, in which case you're nothing more than a pathetic fanboy.
Elemental, Agni's Philosophy, Samaritan, etc. were all reported to be running on a single nVidia GTX 680, using various amounts of DDR3 RAM, rendering 60 frames-per-second at 1920x1080 resolution.
The fact that all were running a Windows OS (probably using a clean boot) in the background should further illustrate the power gap between PC and consoles for those who are not tech-savvy.
Capcom's Panta Rhei engine looks pretty sweet.
Let the future begin.
Crysis 3
Sim City
BioShock Infinite
Tomb Raider
God of War: Ascension
Lego City: Undercover
The Wonderful 101
Grand Theft Auto V
The Last of Us
... and that's just before E3!
"That's rad."
Investors/publishers want to buy studios and IPs that make money. Unfortunately, Darksiders II lost money for Vigil and THQ, which is why I suspect they weren't purchased at auction.
I think potential buyers are simply waiting for the price to come down. There's just way too much talent there for the whole studio to close shop.
Another day-one buy. Good thing I'm single.
I hope that when Rockstar started planning for the game, they decided to give us gamers more than three stores from which to buy clothes. The ability to pimp vehicles (wheels, wings, paint, etc.) would be a welcome addition too.
I'm more worried about the DualShock 4 costing as much as a handlheld if it ever needs replacing.
