There isn't a problem with saving it's a problem with people complaining. People who haven't even played the game and don't understand how it actually works. It just goes to show how one misinformed article can spread to so many people.
I don't really want to argue with you, modding you're controller is cool but c'mon man. It's not a problem if people don't want to do all that.
Again you have to assume that the main reason someone is buying another controller isn't for looks but simply because they want another actual controller.
Are you talking about this? Because this isn't game sales it's revenue. And if you look at the chart you're talking about pre-pandemic versus post pandemic. Q4 2019 is pre pandemic.

Xbox should have delayed it's launch a year along with Halo. Sony launched with games and has had a strong stream of new games and has games with actual release dates and upcoming games with predictable estimates.
And the play-testing? Well, it’s a good thing Sony had invested in cloud gaming for its streaming service PlayStation Now. “Seeing that first play test using PlayStation was a huge relief,” says Smets. “Knowing that, ‘OK, great, we can continue.
Interesting, apparently they are using their streaming service for playtesting new games.
