@Mr Tretton "If you are talking about the buy-in cost of the platforms, of course PC is more expensive. But who just does that?"
Nobody of course but who just buys old releases? I imagine most people look forward to new games just as much if not more than old games.
Which is my point, New games cost almost always the same between ALL platforms.
Exactly the exclusives on the consoles and the performance of Multiplats on PC make it the best to have both if you can afford it.
Games being "10-30$" more expensive on consoles is a huge misconception anymore. Almost all big releases cost exactly the same as consoles.
While the yearly fee sucks you do get games that you can play with you subscription.
Why can't some people freely admit PC gaming is more expensive? It should be, as its better technology.
@Vegamyster
Your more than right about consoles having screentear for sure. I just assume its Watch Dogs as pretty much every other game I can max out with great frames and close to zero stutter or screen tear ie Witcher 2 without ubersampling, battlefield 3 and 4 with only aa turned down.
I just think its disingenuous to make performance claims when there is plenty of websites and forums that show Watch Dogs has all kinds of problems with a large segment of the com...
@Vegamyster
And yet my 760 + i7 stutters and screen tears on even the lowest of settings, I've given up till they fix it
Doesn't matter how how smooth the framerate is when the screen tearing makes your eyes bleed and it starts stuttering outdoors.
This computer has no point as you wouldn't be able to add anything to it and the APU sucks performance wise, playing recent games would be terrible. Put a graphics card in with that PSU and your just asking to burn your system up.
First of all we are talking about getting Battlefield 4 up and running at 4k RESOLUTION on FOUR $1000 dollar GPUs.
Second : most games for PC now a days release at the same price as consoles with temporary price cuts every now and then.
Third : Yes you do need to pay $50 a year to play online which is bullshit but you don't have to pay it if your more focused on single player.
Fourth: What did I make up??? FOUR TITANs are $4000 and a CPU...
The difference here is that the Xbox 1 run at a lower resolution compared to the PS4 while also costing $100 more.
To get this performance at the moment on PC costs over 4 grand seeing as just 1 Titan card is $1000. Plus you will need a couple hundred dollar CPU and an expensive M/B to put up with the FOUR Titans. Not counting the cases, the fans, hard drives and the PSU.
Your point only stands if you are able to spend blindly and if thats it thats fantasti...
Many gamers have wanted it since 2006 and Sony almost always replied they were looking into it. They saw an opportunity for a bullshit cash grab with the custom soundtracks and they jumped right on.
$50 for custom soundtracks is just wrong and unnecessary.
The closer we get to launches the worse both consoles get. I'm really starting to despise this industry.
That sux tho i wasn't planning on getting it till very cheap no way am i giving Origin full price for a game, Wonder what MS did to get this feature exclusive to windows 8 the worst windows in a decade.
But not to surprising coming from the company that makes you launch a single player campaign through a damn web browser
Definitely one of the most awkward scenes in gaming I totally agree and was pretty bad but it kinda fit the narrative at the point in the story.
In the aftermath of the attack forcing yourself to laugh would come out incredibly strained and awkward. I mean Yuna knew she driving herself towards her own death yet she forced herself to laugh at the very idea of it. It would be nothing like real laughter like from a joke.
Its a little much but it fit the game. imo
I'm sure this has only been announced for PSN release
They have the talent to make great games but they seem to be putting very little effort in their work as of late.
Im getting tired of these mediocre crossover titles with unscaled ps2 graphics.
I would lose the few grains of respect I have left in this company if this is released on the 360.
Lying to your fan base is BS as the last trailer shown was behind closed doors and specifically said at the end "Playstation 3 Only Worldwide."
Normally exclusives that go multi-platform I don't worry about (Other than FFXIII) but to make comments like that then go back on your word is disgraceful.
Mass Effect is exclusive to MS platforms in my mind because MS funded the development of the first Mass Effect.
So putting it onto the competitors console I think would require going through a lot of red tape including a possible fight with MS.
I'm looking for an epic non-sequel from the new game studio. Put Santa Monica on TM or something. Though something in me says Jaffe maybe full of shit...
PC is only good for multiplatform games with slightly better graphics, mmos, and playable rts games. Take my 360 and PS3 exclusives over that any day of the weak
Final Fantasy X was almost completely linear for most the game and Its one of the best in the series
For what? it's giving sign in errors too
