Wow, we're going to get some interesting waterblock designs with that ultra-compact PCB.
What's even more significant in this instance is the performance per $. Assuming $1.2k for a 2080Ti until recently and $700 for a 3080. Taking a game where I get 100fps with the 2080 ti and 150fps with the 3080 (to be conservative based on announced figures), that's $12/fps for the 2080ti and $4.7/fps for the 3080... you're 2.5x better off with the 3080, not just 1.8x.
A thought to all the unsuspecting divers out there about to get savaged by PC sharks
Agreed. For one, there was no 3rd person gameplay, at any point. 2 cinematic trailers that were in no way misleading. Second, like EA's statement recently, "if you can't get behind it, don't play it". Last, if you need to whinge at a decision you haven't yet seen implemented, (1) learn to be more patient and (2) accept that in life not everything will go your way. So over reading this constant stream of uneducated, self centered, petty bs. If you can make the game yo...
Goat, while I understand your argument and it makes perfect economic sense, it is worth reminding to the readers that:
1. The mining boom that "benefited" WA was over 5+ years ago
2. The coal seam gas and shale gas boom hasn't reached the potential that was expected due to prohibitive labor costs and that volatile government.
3. Like everywhere in the world, high income for those who worked in oil, gas and mining should not be assumed to mirror the wages ...
Easy. Make friends on Steam in a "steam cheap" country. Pay them with PayPal to gift you the games you want. You lose a little for exchange rate + PayPal transaction but you might save up to AU$20 on a game.
Reads like a click bait article where the author benchmarks his experiences against other reviews.
So COD is a rip off of Battlefield because it's a FPS? Innovation is great but gamers need familiarity to be attracted to a new title. 3rd person animations and takedowns were the obvious choice for Shadow of Mordor.
@dfresh runs horribly. It's like the graphics settings have little to no range between low and high. I'm trying to run it at the lowest settings at 1080p on a laptop 1650ti (fair enough not a great GPU) and I get 30fps avg with highs of 40 and dips to 20. It's super inconsistent and therefore unplayable. Months of optimization needed no doubt.
