Well you need to remember the only way they broke the PS3 is because they stole a key to "open up the system". So Sony couldn't have anticipated this that far back. They have a track record of what, 4-5 years of the PS3 being completely secure? Then suddenly someone is reported to have stolen a certain "key to the PS3" of sorts and the PS3 is hacked.

Halo Reach barely touches Uncharted when it comes to graphics. Play Uncharted 2 and you'll realize the graphical difference is so minor between cutscenes and gameplay that it doesn't affect the experience.
Whereas Halo Reach has poor graphics and pacing all around.
I think it looks fine. You also need to remember those in-game images are far off from release. They even brought up in another question off the PSBlog that the difference can be huge even within something as small as a 3 month development time.
I'm sure the in-game graphics will be cutting it ridiculously close to the first image where he is walking through the sand (use the recently released trailer as an example).

Earth to complainers: Video games have more than one difficulty setting (for the most part). Choose something higher than 'Normal' if 'Normal' is too easy.
Others shouldn't have to suffer because the medium difficulty setting is too easy for you. It's kind of why they invented difficulty modes like Hard, Crushing, Insane, Insanity, etc.

First, it'd have to hold up against the bigger games that play incredibly well, then it'd have to stick with the graphical quality of the better known games available, and finally they'd need to be able to have servers that could hold that many people in just one server for all ...
I'm sorry but this won't be the case.
JRPG's did *help* Sony win both previous generations, with helping the PS1 more than the PS2. But as for now? Nope.
For some reason, now it all comes down to feature sets and console price. Not to mention more online games = more profits. We've hit a point now where if games lack a multiplayer mode, people generally look the other way.
So really, the title should be "the next gen console winne...

I love that mind set. They bring out one game and instantly think about how they can improve it for the next one. Rather than trying to milk their series, they seek to improve it greatly.

I'm very interested with what they plan on doing with number 3. Especially with what they said in this interview. I'm loving the "darker, more realistic" theme they stated aswell.
Because he has an open mind and can accept more than most. Most of these people "talking sh*t" as he put it, probably live off Anime and can't stand a wide variety of entertainment.
Having an open mind will help your life greatly, whether or not you decide to spend your afternoons trolling N4G.

And I honestly don't mean to be picky, but those animations need some work. It always seemed like his reach was almost there, but not quite. If you push for next-gen, the animations need to match the graphics. Otherwise the feeling gets thrown off.
Enough of me being picky though. Other then that, it looks very intriguing and incredibly pretty.
They said they were releasing it to the rest of the world in April. But like many have said before, it'll probably be pushed back if it's having so many problems this close to "launch".
I certainly hope they redo the art style.
The current model is very uninspiring and incredibly unappealing to most. A reason why I'll always favor the Avatars on XboxLive even though I rarely touch my Xbox.
If it were up to me, I'd be taking notes from Guerrilla Games and Naughty Dog for how to animate, or how characters should look.
