It just shows us that this day and age, these sort of things happen. For some reason people blow it out of proportion when it happens to Sony. Everything will be fine in a couple of days. In the mean time, lets get back to talking about games.

Well written and it does bring up valid points. I honestly believe we are in for a treat when it come back online. Yeah this was a hard hit but they will reassure us with a commitment to security and hackers and adding a few features the fans have been wanting for years. Once the big games hit and the PSN is running smoothly again, everyone will forget this ever happened.

Nope. I would jump to my death if I could not enjoy the games coming out this year. Also, directly from the mouth of Sony, with the rebuild they are thinking of adding long awaited features and improve security. Hell, I can wait a week for cross game voice and video chat. I just want this to be over so Sony can continue to pump out games for us to play. Damn hackers ruin everything.

100% agree. Well said.

Hackers mostly. Sony should have told us that they were investigating the possibility and to keep an eye out from the get go. Although the hackers are the cause of the issues we have been having lately. Sony will beef up the security and all will be fine. This year will end up being awesome for gamers regardless.

This site won't get my click. Sony has stated that there is currently no evidence of stolen credit card information.

Looks like your trying to find a reason to coin me a PS3 fanboy. For your knowledge any account of lost personal data is a serious issue no matter the company. I was simply stating that this happens no matter what you do. If you want to function in today's technological world your information is all over the place and is prone to the same risk from one company to the next.

Google your full name in White pages. I bet you'll find your full address listed.

Wooo someone that can understand the situation. This will all blow over in time. Just like the hacks and such.

Seriously the people is this world are fcking morons. Every time you swipe your card your at risk of fraud. Several billion dollar companies had information stolen from them just a few months back, read a fcking news paper. This is the twenty first century, THIS SHIT HAPPENS no matter how big and secure you think you are. People write the code, when why would people be not able to write past it? They already said that there is NO evidence of stolen credit card information but be on the look o...

OMFG. Just wanted linux and homebrew....right! Talk about downright stealing. No wonder they shut down PSN. These people need to be rid of this earth.

Wooo I was about to run to the nearest bridge and jump. This comment section has people that can use their head. PSN will be up and better than ever in no time. No more having to manually sign in like we have been for the last two months.

"Man I miss those ps1 ps2 days." Remember, those games you played didn't have online functionality.

4901d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yea I agree with the above. This article is spot on. I honestly think this may have been in the cards already and the attack just jumped the priority a bit. They figured it's down from the attack we might as well rebuild it so its more stable. This downtime was going to happen either way. I would give a few days of PSN to make sure when I do get on it's stable and hack free. I say Sony did the right thing. No doubt it sucks but I had homework anyways =)
