I really appreciate articles like this. As an opinion piece this did a great job of giving us an unbiased recap on dev’s current status. Sold my Xbone a while back and looking forward to E3. Microsoft has a chance to sell me once again if they do it right.

What the heck is wrong with gaming culture... Why does it have to be about jumping ship or choosing sides? Play all of the platforms if you can. I have all of them and I love them all equally. For me, it really just boils down to the games on them, not so much the console.

I live in the big city of Houston and ANYTIME that I have EVER looked to see if a Switch was on the shelf it was always gone. Nintendo is absolutely artificially manipulating the supply for the demand to make the Switch appear to be in more demand, thus making the console more enticing to get ahold of one. I only know like 2 or 3 people who own one.

Do you think that there could be some improvements under the hood that will improve our ability to mod the visuals of the game, such as injecting higher resolution textures, or do you think they will upscale all of the textures for us?
I don't expect new graphical effects or an overhaul per say, but hopefully the back end is friendlier to modern mod-overhauls?
