Definitely, I couldn't agree more. That's why I can't wait for Borderlands 2, haha!
Dammit Cat, you're going to make me get out my PS3 just to play this game aren't you? Fiiiiine...
This game and Lumines are the first things I'll be getting if I get a Vita. I mean who doesn't want to smash things with a giant ball? I know I do.
The way I see it, regardless of the control scheme, people enjoy the "console" experience. There is a concept of such a thing amongst most gamers, and until they can get the console experience on the go, there's no way consoles will ever die.
I'm not entirely sure how making games in the vein of making manga will really change the way females approach gaming. I'll admit perhaps games need more drama, but on the whole they need better character development as it is, regardless of which gender the game is "aimed" at.
I really like the idea of playing old games with fresher mechanics. I also hate old mechanics that contribute to tedium. That said, those games should stay that way, if we change the way they feel we might as well change them entirely.
I wonder if Ridge Racer will be any good. This is one of those weird weeks where I don't care about the main event, it'll be amazing blah blah blah I'll pick it up eventually.
Couldn't agree more.
Yeah, that's a shame for me as well, I just lost all my saves.
XBLA has already evolved plenty, it's morphed from am auxiliary dose of small cheap games to... I don't even know what but I like it.
I've always felt like the differences between Warzone and Execution were so sparce. Might as well merge them! I'm down with that. But whatever the community wants they should get (within reason), I wonder if most people aren't cool with the merge.
It'd be tough to own a Vita and not own this game, I'd imagine. Unless you really, really don't like fun.
Or platformers. Or happiness.
EXACTLY!
Binary Domain seems like a game I want to play, and I will likely play, but I'll be waiting on it much like I did Vanquish. I'll probably like it more if I'm not so burdened by how much I paid for it.
People are freakin' crazy. Mob mentality and the internet are powerful things.
Great article yo!
Braid is waaay too low on this list, but then again I hate Splosion Man despite loving the concept, so maybe that's why. I also wasn't as sucked into Adventures of Shuggy as most people.
While I'm super excited for Twisted Metal, I can't help but be sad that SSX was supposed to come out this week and isn't. Oh well. CAR COMBAT WARURUGHGUGHH!
Having recently picked up SoulCalibur V I'm not sure I want another 3D fighter. Also, I have a feeling this one'll still be too juggly for me.
Yeah, she really found some good examples of romance in game-form, haha. Good stuff.
Costs are rising but the 20-ish year old people have a more difficult time earning money due to the poor job market and rising costs of living etc. It's a pretty legitimate complaint, especially considering the vast difference in quality in games nowadays.
As much as the fanservice is definitely a cool thing, I'm more interested to see how this will play out in the editor.
