If you have a 720P tv, then you would set the xbox to output 720P native and you would probably get better framerates too.

If you have a 1080P tv, then it can support any resolution by simply upscaling it to 1920x1080, which doesn't even matter because the xbox would upscale the signal first and output it at 1080P to the tv.

Sammy777 - you have no clue what you're talking about, as usual, so please stop repeating something that you don't comprehend. 1080P native means EACH frame is 1920x1080, and all at once, which is not the case. Killzone interlaces sideways for a hybrid resolution, that's more in line with "i" than "p". They couldn't get the game to run at 60fps and 1080P, and the visual degradation is very apparent, especially with fast motion.

Maybe learn the difference between "their" and "there" BEFORE trolling?

Yeah, probably. I bet Sony has been giving them tips on how to produce 1080i/50fps games and lie to people about them being 1080P and 60fps.

Interlacing is the future and the future is interlacing.

Well...YOU'RE the engineer, I guess...Sure sounds like you know everything and more than MS.

Tell us all about it, please!

Purplemonkey -

Yes, such a "new" and "interesting" technique that it's called interlacing, and even PS2 was capable of 1080i about 15 years ago.

Mindblowing.

Too bad it creates blur/flicker/ghosting/artifact ing with fast motion...you know, kind of like in Killzone MP. The only time multiplayer looks good and sharp is when you stand perfectly still. Upscaling from 720P would have been a better option.

Is it just me or did this story disappear from the front page, despite having 810 degrees, and it should be in 4th place between Infamous and Driveclub articles?
