Everyone is living different lives, what it comes down to is the time you have and what you want to invest it in. Im also 28 like the author of the article and can relate but only cause I work so much and feel like I cant invest the time I would like into SP games anymore just cause my sessions are way shorter than they use to be. Its hard to engage with a story when Im moving at a snails pace through it, sometimes forgetting wtf is even happening.
I agree, but at the end of the day my nostalgia for this game cancels out the negative. If anyone is playing this game for the first time with this release, there is a good chance of not enjoying urself because of what will seem like lack of polish, when its just a product of its time.
I wish sony would bring back socom as their battle royal answer with the socom feel, and give us our classic 1 life team matches as another game mode for the socom ogs

Socom was my teen years in a nutshell when it comes to games. I honestly would be content with a socom 2 remaster. Just tweek a couple things but leave the movement, lean, and fps/ tps mechanic in. Do what they did for crash with Socom and I would be happy.
Cant wait to play this. Only complaint I have is that in North America its being called Everybodys Golf, Hot Shots sounds way better and a casual fan of the series who are walking into stores may not know this is actually Hot Shots golf.

That stupid augment preorder thing they did was equivalent of the Xbox One reveal in terms of leaving a bad taste in peoples mouth, bad enough that even after the fix the damage was already done in marketing terms. It really sucks to because Deus Ex was my fix when it came to stealth games with over the top story, Metal Gear series being my favorite. I really hope they reconsider.

Blur was a great racing game, that was destroyed by timing of release and bs reviews like ign, which the author stated he is good at racing games and since he wasnt good at this one it was the games fault. The game was awesome and fun as hell, Mario kart meet Need for Speed. Yet no one bought it.

As a socom fan i hope some games get some online support, bring back socom 2 online would be great. Alot of people have asked for a remaster of socom 2, but at this point I would take anything.
Gotta disagree with mgs2 and ffx having bad twists, especially ffx. That twist makes Tidus story that much sadder. Also I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure Auron isn't a dream, he was just unsent, not the same thing Tidus and Jecht were.
I feel like all 3 mass effects would be part of this not just 1. Anyways all the games I would want I feel fall under niche category like sonic all stars racing transformed, so that kinda sucks.
Agreed and would like to add completely ignoring a certain character that should have been part of this story according to previous games and major one at that
Ive been waiting for this game since it was announced last tgs. A little worried its an online only game since i enjoyed character unlocking in singleplayer and couch multiplayer. I also hope they still have legit characters and not just avatars that look like the audience members from the ps2 games. And finally I hope this game gets released state side, even if there isnt as big a following (all the big sites seemed to have ignored that the game was even shown at tgs)
Mgsv had better gameplay, Mgs4 had better everything else
