Well except Red Dead 2 didn't cannibalize anything from GTAO, not even Red Dead Online did anything to GTAO numbers so.... Yes, but it shouldn't be one or the other. You have an insane amount of money, so put a support team on GTAO let it keep making money and put your MULTIPLE other big teams on MULTIPLE other big games.
They apparently have 2,000+ employees as of 2018 and they have made ONE new game since Sept 2013. And with GTA V coming to next gen I wouldn't expect another GTA for a few years and all reports point to that being their next game so.
Except Skyrim wasn't loaded with microtransactions.
Athia at least makes sense they said it was made to be a timed or second party exclusive. Deathloop, Ghostwire, Solar Ash, and Little Devil Inside have all been announced for some time with either the assumption or confirmation of multiplat. Xbox would be lit up if they had made Deathloop and Ghostwire timed exclusive this long after their announcement. That's the only issue with an otherwise fantastic showcase imo.
Can't wait, Hyper Light Drifter is one of my favorite games this gen. Wonder how long the timed exclusivity is?
God it looks so incredible, Arkane only makes phenomenal games. Maybe people will wake up and buy this one unlike Dishonored and Prey....

It's awesome to finally see this game again, been waiting years to see more. Curious about the moment to moment gameplay and the overall structure of the game is but the art and the atmosphere look awesome.

Yea but a niche decade and change in the making sequel to a single player immersive sim hardly seems like their typical M.O and despite how good it may be (or how much I love immersive sims) probably not a sure thing for a good return on investment. I don't have an in depth knowledge of every game or dev Tencent is involved with but this just seems like a strange situation.
So Night Dive is still doing the remake of 1 and own the rights to the System Shock IP. And from OtherSide's tweets saying it will be good to have Tencent's support does that mean they're still involved in development? What's going on with this game? And why would Tencent of all people have interest in it?
I mean I can see why people love it, especially in VR but I don't think it's even close to the best stealth horror game this gen. The last third or so really bring the game down imo.

Not trying to be that guy but I was actually surprised that Will of the Wisps was much easier than I thought it would be. It's an incredible game, the great job done revamping the combat and new movement abilities made the platforming so fluid and smooth I actually thought the game was noticably easier than the first and dramatically easier than Hollow Knight. 100% the game in 15ish hours and only had a few little spots that gave me trouble.
Shadow, while certainly not a leap forward from Rise, has far less shooting/combat and way more exploration compared to Rise.
Outer Wilds was fantastic and a legitimate GOTY contender. And I've seen no one talk about Void Bastards but it's a great roguelite and just inside my 10 games of the year.
I'm an Animal Crossing fan plus I think we get 1 or 2 big surprises for next year. The BOTW2 2020 rumor is picking up steam even if I'm not sure I believe it.
Mario 3 is a top 5 game of all time but Mario 1-3 is just three games in a series not a trilogy, MGS is 5 numbered games, and none of crash/spyro/uncharted are even trilogies.
