If you want to talk faulty hardware I would say look at PS2. Those dam things and their faulty laser unit were a complete nightmare. Trouble with it was the PS2 would read some discs not others and if you turned it upside down it sometimes work again.
So in other words it wasnt like the 360s RROD, where the console doesnt work whatsoever. You would end up thinking its a dodgy game disc.
Cant remember Sony replacing all them consoles.

Theres plenty of games coming for the 360 some might be multi, but the price thats going to help Microsoft. GTA4 packaged with the 360 and at the same time big 360 price drop.
The Multi games will sell more 360s than PS3s if Microsoft does go price cutting....

Keep the 360 going for the next 3 to 4 years but as early as this Christmas 2008 bring out a truly stunningly powerfull new machine.

Whats the point of bringing out a Blu-ray add on drive. The HDDVD was pretty pointless except for it being very cheap at launch. If they really are going to bring out a Blu-ray add on expect it to also play HDDVDs.

I'm not no fan of either format to be honest, I think Blu-ray was the technically better choice, HDDVDs storage space just wasn't significantly more than dvd.

Money is a much bigger issue in this console war than people realise, making that amount of money theres no way Microsoft is going anywhere.
They NEED to be in the console war to be in the living room and they really want to win this thing.
It seams to be FACT by a lot of people that the PS3 will out sell the 360 this year. But come on, at the moment the basic 360 sells for between £179 and £199 here in the UK the premium is at around £249 and the Elite around £279 to £299.

Premium £139

This sounds like a great move from Microsoft. If this comes out and possibly made by other companys aswell Im all for it.
