later on when you have the money add a second 5770. Crossfire both of them. Thats gonna give you performance around the level of a 5870gpu which costs around 400usd ;-)

Had i been using a system like XBL. I would always be having points left over then buying new points just to clear the previous ones i bought. Also why have my money left over with someone else? Just so they can use it for their stuff?

PS4 games wont work on the PS3. With PC they atleast give you the option to play newer games on your older setup.
Like wise 10yrs from now you can still expect to play your current library on PC, i wounldnt expect the xbox 720 to play xbox 1 or xbox 360 games. Neither would i expect PS4 to play PS3-PS1 games (PS3 already cant play ps2 games).
Consoles are closed platforms hence the console makers can get away with stuff like this.
While Sony is a bit more reasonable. Microsoft completely milks its base anyway it can.

100usd for a HD that is obselete and for the same price you could get 1tb HD from other vendors

While console users think graphics are progressing. In reality Consoles just stop any progress from being made.
Ask any console user they will tell you oh u need a better engine to get better graphics, while this is true you need more horse power as well. There is only so much optimizations can do.
For true graphics leaps you need better hardware.

Lol never thought of it that way. While consoles restart every gen, PC DD just keeps growing. Either way PC is my platform of choice.

Ill have my 3D in 1080p with AA and hi res textures. Anything below that would be a compromise.

could build an entire pc for around 1500usd which will run 3D at 1080p instead of the 720p or below the consoles promise (which you get after spending 3k+ on tv alone).
Apparently Console users will buy anything thrown their way. Hence the quality and complexity of games drops (gimp pad limitations also apply).
Also unlike PC where the communities look to mod the game make it better (ppl tend to hang on the game). That doesnt happen on consoles hence they are always in a rush for the next game coming.

They need the time to recover what they have invested. Launching a new console would just mean getting into more losses for the next couple of years. Something thier share holders probably wont like. Also it would mean resetting their complete base which will make software sales go slow. Hence with the curren...
Dont expect next gen consoles anytime soon.
They will try extend this gen with gimicks like Natal and Move. Microsoft is yet to make a decent profit on the xbox360 the project is in billions of usd worth of losses.
On the other hand Sony is in losses of excess of 5billion usd with the ps3. They wont be in any hurry either.

Not hard to run a game at 60fps. specially when the graphics looks last gen and the game is running in 640p lol.
I could get the game running on a 4yr old PC with a 8800gtx @ 60fps in 1080p everything maxed out. COD is getting old and needs a new engine.
With so many game release this year, it actually gives some of us the time to pick up those unplayed games.
