This map is fail. I stole a chopper gunner care package on a 9v9 demolition game and got a 44 kills with it.
I don't see what's wrong with this at all. Legally: first-sale doctrine protects the buyer/seller of used games. Ethically, I see no dilemma. Here's why:
Guy A hires group B to build house on Guy A's property.
A pays B for materials/labor.
A is happy.
15 years later, Guy A wants to move out and sells house to Guy C.
Guy C pays Guy A for house + property.
Guy A uses money to hire another group to build a house...
I've played sonic for less than 10 minutes in my life and even I don't suck that much.
How so? Other than the last stand (second chance), everything else seems decent. Anything over mw2 is an awesome improvement. Kick Activision and we'll be set!
Developers get paid during the process of making the game. Only the advertisers, retailers, and publishers get paid after the game is complete. There isn't commission as a coder.
So pretty much if I win, I get a service that should have started out as free.
This is retarded to argue over. It's been debated many times in the past. PS3 and Xbox 360's just appeal to different markets - simple as that. To each their own when it comes to pricing though. MS is a business just like Sony and just do whatever is possible to minimize loss and maximize gain. If MS can make money off of people from selling them subscriptions, then all the power to them. The PS3 generally attracts people for 1-player games or multiplayer games with a less hardco...
The last place to cut costs should be game development. If you want all future games to be slight graphical changes to frameworks we already have/own, then go ahead to think that way. If you want new innovative games, R&D costs will always be there.
Devs don't make as much money as publishers who do 10% of the work for 60-70% of the pay. Blame them for being greedy, not the devs.
Amen to Mc Nasty. If I sold the game to a friend, it's just my friend using the online service instead of me. There's no net gain in server load just b/c a different person is using it.
This is why I get all used games from Craigslist or Ebay.
Time to buy Seagate, Western Digital, and Hitachi stock.

How the f*ck is Navi not on that list?
This article does have some valid points but not all points are accounted for. Especially cost.
Most people (mostly non-gamers) I know have a PC that is completely adequate (dual or quad core) that they use for work/internet/music and photos. They already bought the PC for other reasons. Just throw in a $150-200 video card (cost comparable to cost of lower-end Xbox 360 / Used PS3) and you can play games in better graphics than consoles. I mean, you do already have all the...
