I ask this same question. Xbox One X by far has the power, and Microsoft have all the partnerships, so they could literally pull VR out of their back pocket. So why haven't they?
Wholeheartedly agree with you on this one. That "new" feeling is a massive craving, but then there is the absorbed feeling when you find a really good "hour sink" game. It's much worse coming out of that and not knowing what to do next.

Online was just too much fun.
Unfortunately on Xbox One the patches haven't fixed much. Forza may look good, but the simulation still won't be as good as what's on offer in Project Cars.
I've got the Win 10 Tech Preview on my PC already, and the Xbox One dashboard preview. Can't till I can stream my Xbox One games to my PC for when the kids are hogging the telly!

I've never been a Halo fan, but I'll undoubtedly be playing this as it's all anyone on my friends list will be playing online when it comes out.
I haven't played all of these, but certainly loved the soundtracks on those that I have.

They've used a point cloud data gathering technique to reproduce the environment, something that's been around for a while and that we should see becoming more popular in game development this generation.
