Although I agree with somethings you've mentioned its all subjective and down to personal tastes. I am lucky enough to be able to afford 3 consoles in monetary terms, however I currently no longer have the same amount of time I once had so I tend to move between systems depending on which one has the exclusives that attract me more.

I agree, I seem to find myself on an "exclusives" cycle hopping from platform to platform when there is a suitable number of exclusive content.
Likewise I have learnt to look to Nintendo with curiosity rather than optimism as interesting ideas tend to fall short of the promised potential.
I agree that the Wii U's line up could be considered scarce in comparison with the competition, but I have now found it to be more than enough for the available gaming time I have.
Working full time plus other commitments and hobbies doesn't leave as much time for gaming as I once had, and whilst there is a larger library of games available on other consoles I have become a little tired of the same annual releases.
