We will see a lot of 720p Games on next generation consoles,next generation consoles would easily do 1080p if they ported BF3. But dice is going to up all game physics, detail, player count and vehicle count, i expect desruction to be greatly improved, and bigger maps with great textures, so 720p would be for me aceptable if the game itself gives us stuff that would blow our minds...
And its a shooter, FPS are way to important, and real 720p with a lot of detail and great tex...

You may not believe me , but i work with Activision(Portugal), and production only starts next week.
As i said, these are only the debug versions and include only 2 multiplayer levels.
Of course there are dvd with the full game for testing, but these doesnt even have colored cover.....
There is no full version yet...(Game has not gone gold/prodction)there is a beta that was destributed in disk format.
I have friends playing the closed beta, in his case there are only 2 maps, and its for finding bugs etc....
Xbox360 is amazing considering it as older tech, it as maanaged to keep up with good games, i have both consoles and i know that it will be hard for the xbox 360 to beat games like Uncharted2 graphic quality...but does it really need to beat it to win this generation ?
People need to realise that most gamers prefer shooters, and the cboc is criticised for only having shooters, but thats what the market demand unfortunately, and that bigger audience makes the xbox a preferable...
Uncharted 2 sold around 3.4 milion, just a litlle over the original, it sold twice the ME2, and its one of the star exclusives of the PS3.
Gears sold 5.6 milion.
Some game types sell more than others, MW2 sold more than G.o.War and Uncharted on the PS3...And its a mulitplat.

It will never beat COD MW2.
Despite the problems, MW2 has an amazing engine, no game can beat the stable 60 fps, and that is what is most important in a First Person Shooter.
The other reason is that MW2 is like an adictive drug, everyone says bad things about it, but no one can quitt.
Gears is so big today, bacause it was suported by MSFT and in pair with halo, it was the face and soul of the xbox360 and fanboys helped the growing success of the series.If it was Multiplatform maybe the interest wouldnt be as big.
Epic could make a bit more money , but they already did rack huge sales and they were backed up by Micro$$oft so they didnt do a Bad Deal.
I think they will go multiplat someday, lets see if they keep sucessfull.
Of course it can...even the x360 can do geaometry wars with 60fps 1080p.
But we are talking about the next generation frostbite bf game, much more power is demended.
Maybe not many pc will run the game in 1080p,and stable framerate..so its easyer for developers to target a much more comom sense goal.
The game will look amazing, dont worry so much about graphics, lets see how it plays instead :)
