I absolutely agree with everything you mention above Dan & this is confirmation of what I said in my posts above, pertaining to the campaign run time. Like you I'm a long time fan, bit this installment, was in my opinion, a disappointment.

I already had extensive knowledge of how the game played, as I had completed the Re2 remake multiple times & I had also played through the Re3 demo several times, which believe it or not, is a sizeable chunk of Re3's playthrough. Add in to the equation is, that another large section is lifted directly from Re2, then it's not too unreasonable to think that a campaign veteran can breeze through this, as I did, in a time of 2hrs 24 mins.

Completed it a day prior to release in a little over 2 hours. I have absolutely no compulsion whatsoever, to play through it again with it's insipid, uninspired boss encounters, some of which you can beat by simply running around in a clockwise or anti clockwise circle. I'd have sold it the following day to recoup my wasted investment, were it not for world events.

I absolutely loved the Re2 remake and would score it a 9. This instalment, although entertaining, I...

I'm p!$$€D off that I threw 50 quid down the drain on this turd. I absolutely loved the Resi 2 remake and hoped for a continuation of that success. Unfortunately what I got for my 50 quid was 2hrs and 15 mins of reused assets and tedium. Literary the instant I completed it, I wanted to sell it and recoup my wasted money. Resi 2 for me is between an 8 & 9. Resi 3 I'd score 6.

Your not the only one DrD. I'm currently half way through the campaign and I'm having mixed feelings.

The game is very linear and the enemies are far too bullet spongy, meaning that unless your armed with a shotgun, your weapons lack real punch.

I'm playing on a PS4 Pro with an LG Oled C9 and this set up, only serves to highlight & reveal some odd graphical imperfections & artifacts during certain segments, that did not seem as prevale...

If that's US dollars you are referring to, I got it for approximately $49. UK price from Shopto was 39 pounds. My initial impressions of the game so far, is that the HDR implementation is a real wow standout.

As I'm currently stuck in the house at the moment and am lucky enough to be able to work from home, the price of the game is negligible to me, as I'm saving an absolute fortune, due to the bars & restaurants being closed.

I do appreci...

I'm about to find out, as my copy has just arrived by post. I'm in the UK and ordered it from Shopto. With all the awful stuff going on at the moment and hearing that postal delivery copies for this title may be delayed, it was a welcome surprise to see it arrive a day early. Huge thank-you to our brave postal service for still managing to provide a service under extreme circumstances.

I had a fantastic time playing the demo. Here is a quick tip to get the machine gun. Simply, let the very first zombie that you encounter chow down on you until you are dead.

Now if you look to the bottom right of the restart screen, you will be given the option to select an assisted mode. Select it & say yes. Bingo you now have a machine gun ho-ho-ho.

I have the LG 65C9. 4 Hdmi 2.1 sockets and G-sync support.
It completely blows to smithereens my old Samsung KS8000 right out the water.

I brought my dad round & showed him Planet Earth 2 on 4k blu-ray and the old curmudgeon's eyes nearly popped out in amazement.

Your right, most don't support it. However, many of the big brand TV makers are incorporating HDMI 2.1 into many of their 2020 sets releasing circa April - May. I'm lucky enough to have it with the LG Oled 65 C9 which I sold my liver & a kidney for.

Thoroughly enjoyed PS4 title Days Gone and would currently rank the game somewhere between 7.5 to 8.

Given a fresh coat of PS5 paint, this game will jump to between a 9 to 10 for me. Eliminating long, ardous, repetitive loading screens, improving graphical features, but most of all, perhaps adding a buttery smooth 120fps motion rate, maybe even in 4k with zero drops. Lastly I'd love, once again to see the Uncharted franchise receive a major upgrade adding Lost Legacy, u...

This is the only game that made me completely lose my temper and launch my conroller at the wall, smashing it to smithereens. If memory serves me correctly, it was out of a sense of utter frustration just trying to climb up a rope towards the end of one of the campaigns.

I nearly got brain damage from reading this utter tripe. It's one thing to want better AI, but you seem to be quite satisfied with current graphic standards. So according to your bull$Hit article, you'll be more than happy & satisfied to purchase a shiny new ps5 next Christmas, with graphics equivalent to PS4, just as long as there is some improvements to AI.

God Of War is an exceptional game. My own particular, favourite PS4 game of the generation 'so far' is Spiderman.

For sampsonon below, you too Cheers buddy. Another thing that I noticed is that the rain is more severe during different times of the day. I raced the Red Bull track with rain during the day and it was a light drizzle with a smidgeon of sunlight poking through the clouds and then I selected rain options during dusk and it came down in torrents with spray everywhere decreasing visibility with dark overcast, clouded conditions.

It's much more subtle than Driveclub's d...

I agree that it's disappointing to only have two wet weather tracks, hopefully more will be added soon alongside the Spa track. I have played the update and it's not just a wet surface, but full blown rain coming down and hitting your working windscreen wipers alongside a hefty amount of spray affecting visibility. Driveclub's weather was incredible, I only wish the game could have got the PS4 Pro treatment.

I agree wholeheartedly about the PS3's media capabilities. I remember perusing various, cough, slutter, ahem, 'gentleman's websites.' Using triangle, right click, scroll down and save target to my hard drive. I nearly ended up going as blind as a bat, but on the upside I developed wrists like Popeye!

The PS3 was brilliant for downloading full feature films for free using the web browser, watching Blu ray, background images, pictures, mp3 songs and photos. It...
