The sales are poor because the game is poor. Capcom Vancouver in recent times have lost a lot of their good staff to other studios. Now its mostly made up of ex Relic / EA staff and college grads with little to no talent. Don't believe me, don't care.Go on Linkedin and see for yourself. The only studio that's pushing in Van is the Coaltion. Apart from them and EA the city is done for AAA
A lot of money was wasted on the Forge engine and the studio stuck with it for DR4 .They are using UE4 at Cap Van but note they have other projects going on there . DR4 looks fun but dated, a lot of the talent has moved on and not much left. Look online the studio has a bad rep
It did ok, partly coz there wasn't too many exclusives on launch and a lot of ports that most had already bought on other platforms
PVZ was a surprisingly good game. Very enjoyable.
The sequel looks poor, mechs?!
No originality in this sequel at all.
The trilogy was great. Judgement was weak. Epic didn't do Judgement though, they outsourced it to People Can Fly.
I am hopeful for Gears 4 although I'm not feeling the main character. Maybe he is just a bit part character and Marcus will be in.
EA Canada are doing a new UFC. Maybe that will be shown
It's Capcom Vancouver making these 3 games. They've been recruiting for mobile experienced staff. Safe to assume one or more of these will be mobile. After the poor Dead Rising 4 and weak sales expect these to fail and the studio to shut shortly after
