I think that's the issue. It's reached a point where it's quite difficult to score the game on a year by year basis because they are the only game out there and they don't have to make any big improvements and it's still going to be a stellar baseball sim.
It's not really about comparing it to something else. It's more about looking at what the game offers and whether it has evolved or taken steps back.
In my opinion, a few small paragraphs don't pass as a review. He barely said anything about the game and still managed to give it a 22/100. Did he even play it for more than 10 minutes? Crackdown 3 is not a great game, but it's definitely in the 4.5-6.5 range rather than 2.
Is this a re-post, there was an article with this same title last week...
The fact that we received it for review doesn't influence our scores... FYIG is the site.
Our total review scores auto-generate from the individual categories we score. It had very minor technical issues so it was given a 9.5 in that category, perfect everywhere else, thus the 9.9 total.
I wasn't really counting the HD remasters, but the article has been updated accordingly to make it a clearer statement.
At the end of the day, what matters is that a game is fun. We play games to enjoy them and this game is definitely one of the better ones to play with a few friends. The "missing" mechanics aren't missing at all. They're unnecessary, we've just been conditioned that every game needs upgrade systems and XP. Sure, it can get a little repetitive, but I honestly haven't really had too much of a problem with that yet. It's no wonder we get the same copy and paste game...
He's not actually a character. You can just create him. It had that fine print on the commercial yet it's somehow missing from the trailer.
No problem lol. I was wondering if maybe I had been saying it wrong all these years.
Don't you mean repro (reproduction)?
I completely agree. I'm hoping they're just using this as a gauge of interest for a new title.
I think that's a fair analysis. It does get repetitive and the driving physics are difficult at times, but the fun I've had in the co-op mode keeps me coming back. I think Ubisoft in general needs to focus less on huge maps in games and more on not making missions repetitive.
I can't believe a post like this got approved...
The rates are ridiculous. I can't understand why they would price it like that. It's definitely not something that will be widely adopted.
I never had the chance to play the original, but I was pretty surprised at how good this was. I just wish it was a bit longer.
That's how I felt after two hours. Unfortunately, this game just doesn't give you any guidance. It gets annoying to walk around aimlessly for hours.
It would be just Pokémon as in, "new Pokémon". "Pokémon's" is possessive so even if the plural did have an s, it would be "Pokémons" not "Pokémon's" . Regardless, it should have just been Pokémon without any apostrophe or s.
Great list! Nice to see some different games than the same old ones.
It pains me when something like this makes it to N4G while countless other legitimately good articles never see the light of day.
