"I've been reluctant to go into more detail; Broken Age is one of those games that should be experienced by you, not from reading or watching someone else who played it."
Will do. All I know is that I dig Broken Age's art style and that's it. Hope to get a chance to play it some time. Maybe I'll dive in and just grab the sequel right along with everyone else at launch so I can experience that community aspect that I've missed in being lttp (Dark ...
I think The Stanley Parable was being talked about right around the same time as Thomas Was Alone. I recently played the latter and was seriously underwhelmed.
However, I have dutifully stayed away from reviews, trailers and media about it so I could go in dark.
Looks like it changes up the normal schmup formula. I don't like them normally but this looks pretty stylish and fun. All the boosting and reverse boosting somehow reminds me of Robotech and Macross. I wish the ship could transform as well!
Thanks for the transparency. I'm happy that the game did well and that you don't romanticize it. It really is hard work and not a lot of profit initially, which you stated wasn't the motivation but the passion was.
It reminds me of the guy who made the FE hack "The Last Promise" and that he made the game first for himself because he loved to do it, and then secondly to have others enjoy it (this was free though since it was a fan-made hack).

The Castle Doctrine is going to make for an awesome community hopefully. Imagine all the water-cooler stories you'll hear!
Looks like The Castle Doctrine picks up in online multiplayer where Deception IV: Blood Ties unfortunately left off. Tis a good thing!
The monotone voice was hilarious and I'm still unsure of whether it was intended. Until he mentioned chiauahas.
The two words he mentioned of freedom and power (although some people like randomness in games, would be a nice optional feature that is toggleable or in certain servers where all hell could break loose even wit...
Klei is awesome. Loved Mark of the Ninja. Invisible inc. looks like it will help in the XCOM drought (though these procedural generated games are so replayable anyways!)
But the 1.6 million was apparently iOS, so who knows! :)
*by "the best," I meant the best I could :) Cheers everyone!
Agreed. I don't know if his 1.6 million score was legit, but if he lied (supposedly) on his 466,825 score, I think it kinda sheds doubt on any of his scores. It is VERY peculiar that he got above 30,000 ONCE, straight to 400k. This game requires being familiar with the speeds at the later levels and for him to do shoot straight there is very unlikely. That or the Android version is just way easier to exploit. But if the devs and N4G verified it, I guess it passed. That first screenshot is...
Thanks for the opportunity! Did the best on iOS but couldn't keep up with those Android high scores.
I'm all for opinions, but it sounded like the presuppositions were already there before against the game... Also, would anyone deny it is a solid game (at least 8.5) if it wasn't such a dry month or launch in general? Yes, not a system seller, but we only want it to be since there haven't been any really. Just judge it on it's own without that criteria.
Crowd: "Turn off invulnerability!"
Dev: "It's a demo!"
Lol wow what a time to get into gaming. The Star Wars game we never played.
It's hard to keep all these zombie survival open world games apart. Dayz, Fort Nite, that one game where people are frequently naked, etc.
Imagine all the new griefing opportunities?
Kinda torn. I mean great for those who didn't experience it, but if you had a PS3, well why exactly didn't you play it already? I haven't played the DLC so there's that to look forward to. And I'm curious if the multiplayer will come back and reinvigorate the online, perhaps with some new features.
Overall, why were they working night and day on a port (admittedly of a very good game)? Is this Tomb Raider all over again? I mean, when ND does a remaster, I&...
Actually enjoyed the dubs in the persona series. Hopefully the movie includes key game music. Can't wait to BURN MY DREAD!
Average Doctrine could've used some more time in the oven, but perhaps it was best since it didn't want to release in a month with more notable games. It looked niche and hopefully it caters and pleases at least THOSE people.
I'm looking at you, Operation Darkness Atlus SRPG people.
In another article, something about that being where their main audience is. Whatever that means.
Reactions are generally meh so far. I don't know if fans really asked for this. Sounds like a sequel would've been fine, not that this prequel won't advance some mechanics or add to 2, but they described it being smaller than 2, but bigger than 1. So more tight focused content? I don't know how to interpret that statement.
Is Anthony Burch helping...
For those who have encountered it, any news of their anti-cheating system being all it's cracked up to be on addressing this particular exploit?
It seems like these strategic RPG's are coming back into style (or have never left, if you were old school Fallout and Xcom).
Shadowrun Returns seems like an updated take and I'm glad the DLC was well received!
