The BBFC is spouting increasingly weak arguements from my perspective...
Quote: ""We know for a fact that the public is confused by [the PEGI] symbols, they don't understand them," said a spokesperson. "They do understand consumer advice which says 'Contains strong language' or 'Contains strong violence'."
This only applies in assuming everyone speaks english, which might indeed apply to the UK, but as PEGI is European, a symbol-system is han...
Ah, the link works now :)
The link to the article doesn't seem to work... It just gives a page with "Error" on it...
Why did this article get approved anyway when there is already the same one here? -> http://www.n4g.com/gaming/N...
Which was approved well before this one... I even tagged this article as being a duplicate, yet the people approving it obviously didn't see that or ignored it :(
I am still of the opinion that people need to come to terms with taking online life into account more and more for planning their lives...
And not just assume someone can turn off the computer at the drop of a hat...
Discussing up front when you want to spend time together to watch some TV might solve people being caught off guard in the middle of an hours-long raid that they don't want to opt out of...
And vice versa... If you're going to go on a raid, or watc...
I feel it is rather one-sided to only post from the woman's perspective in this case... Maybe the relationship wasn't giving him what he needed in the first place and he sought refuge in the game-world...
I don't mean to imply the story isn't true or that the guy is blameless... But it is seriously lacking in objectivity...
Isn't it more important to examine the underlying cause of a person getting sucked into a gameworld, rather than blaming them and the game outrig...
The link to the full story doesn't yield a webpage for me... Just Eurogamer giving their version of the 404 message...
Is this just me?
I read the review and felt it sounded familiar... I did a google search for the phrase "The story's villain is revealed to be a power-mad tyrant straight from central casting." and the first hit was indeed what I remembered...

Just because I was curious what kind of person would write such a harsh review without seeming to have played the game, I checked his profile-info...
His game lists only contains FF13 as a game he loves and a game he owns... And on top has only been a member for a few days and has done nothing else...
I am getting the feeling that perhaps user submitted reviews should be limited to people who've at least been around a month or two with regular visiting of the website...
I can't help but feel slightly offended how someone puts their opinion forward in a way like she does...
Not everyone has this need to be married or have children at the age of 22... I've always felt that was rather early and it takes a strong and wise person to already have their life mapped out at that point...
Maybe it's because I'm from a country where the average age of women when they first become mother is 32 and that we have almost no teenage pregnancies and most ed...
An apology perhaps... But I'd far rather see some bigger and more elaborate apology... A larger article written by her, not just 2-3 sentences saying 'oops, sowwy...'
She could use a BIT more effort to redeem herself to the masses than what this article states... Maybe she did a more lengthy interview on it all, but I'm not seeing that anywhere yet...
Come on ma'am, this event riled the developers and quite literally millions of people... I don't need a ritual su...
For me BC actually matters... Yeah I still have the PS2 and could connect it to play the games... But I don't want more and more older consoles under and around my TV...
The TV has a limited amount of connections (Or does someone know of a PS2 HDMI cable, I have some HDMI connections still free :P), but mostly I would like to donate my PS2 to a relative who's new to gaming and give a bunch of my games, but keep my most favourite ones and play those on the PS3... (I'm not partin...
To ME it comes across a little bit as badly translated dutch, especially the end part: "you do not doubt your second" to me seems like it could be derived from "Dan bedenk je je geen twee keer"...
Which SHOULD read "Then you won't think twice"...
I DO also wonder how this posting ever got approved... Do people only read the article it links to? That's a bit shoddy...
I wonder if babelfish is the culprit here :P
As much as this information is a joyous announcement, I would REALLY like to hear from MicroSoft on their expansion plans for the Video Marketplace into the rest of Europe...
I was really excited early december 2007 until I found out that "Europe" only meant 4 countries...
So keep adding content MicroSoft, but please also realise that Europe means more than those 4 countries...
The more I see of this game the more I want it :D
I just wish the publisher/developer would give a little more info (or rather: reassurance) about the length of the game... That it will be 40 hours of GAMEPLAY with on TOP of that 20 hours of cutscenes, rather than the so far speculated 40 hours TOTAL of which 20 hours is cutscenes...
I am still 99% sure I will buy this game on the day it comes out here, but I would still like to feel more assured that it will not...
I wish MicroSoft hadn't said they were bringing the Video Marketplace to EUROPE, which made me very excited, only to find out they meant 4 countries in Europe...
There really is more to Europe than the UK, Ireland, France and Germany...
People would be pissed off if some news report said something was coming to America only to see it available in Florida, Idaho and California and nowhere else...
Still, I understand the problems with licencing and a...
I thought this was for serious posting and commenting... Your claims are unfounded and reek strongly of coming from someone with an ignorant made-up mind...
Why would the Wii be the end of voice acting or complex physics? It's just too silly for words...
And no more quick ports of games with badly tacked on motion-controls just because you think it's needed please... Make the game suitable to use the classic-controller if nothing else... I'd go for that...
It's not the Wii's fault if attachment rates are low. Developers need to realise they are shooting themselves in the foot if they try to quickly cash in on the Wii's popularity without making thorough and note-worthy games.
As soon as developers and publishers stop rushing titles on the Wii and put in the effort some do for an XBox360 or PS3 title (months of planning, years of development?) then those 3rd party titles will be the new sales-chart toppers...

What an intense amount of anger floating around here...
Why don't people accept that this game is good in its own niche? Being an old-school turn-based JRPG?
Giving it a low score because it didn't re-invent the wheel seems rather petty to me. Not everyone WANTS the shift to real-time or other popular screams.
I've read much more balanced reviews where the conclusion simply was that this game is good in its own way, being a traditional way.
If you ...
