till this day AA actually has my favorite combat system of any beat-um-up or hack and slash game I can think of.
I loved the challenge modes, it was the only game I could think of were I could just pop the disk in and spend hours beating the crap out people without getting tired.

gears and halo's stories lacking... most people... which most people have you been talking too, most ps3 owners ? how many other shotting games have stories any better.
personally I didn't like the direction the Halo stories went from halo 2, but it still has way more story then most shoters on any console. apart from games that boarder on fps/rpg or at least have some rpg elements like bioshock, etc.

Oblivion really was the first game that really and truly made me feel like this was what next gen was all about.
it was more the just better graphics.
I loved the open world and the fact that every AI had a life of their own.
I loved the fact there were NO invisible walls apart from the outlying boarders of the map. all the crazy stuff you could do.

that is the one and biggest issue I have had with it and halo 3. I think they could have done much more and made it much deeper if they had even a few ref that you could tie back to the books.

totally agree, this is what gets to me the most as well.
if you ask me, they should have a system were by if a player is continuously shoots at you and betrays you ( eg with a DMR ) the menu should pop up straight away to boot, because for the person to have been continuously shooting it must have been with intent.
if you betrayed with an instant kill like say a one shot sniper or something then it should take like 2 or 3 before they give you the option.
No we cannot ( your right, we are not devs ), but then why would I try....
sometimes you have to acknowledge what you are not good at in order to get better. if you cannot get better, maybe it's not for you.
at the end of the day, they didn't make the game for the hell of it, they made it with the intention that other people will enjoy it. There is nowhere on the box where it says you have to be a games developer before you can play or critique the ...
I think a game like this kind of shows up how bad other reviews can be... I mean from what I keep reading it sounds like this game should be more then a 9.. but thats only because there is so much Junk out there that gets a 9, for a game of this quality it should not be put in the same league with them.
anyway, this may be my day 1 purchase for the season ( everything else will wait for the xmas bargain bin )

I have not been following this at all, but it's just shot to no 1 on my list now for xmas season games.
i just can't believe this is being talked about, did some of you guys really enjoy MOH that much.
I could spend all day bashing MW2 because there is a lot, and I mean a Lot I hate about it.. but as much as I hate it, the MOH beta that I played was one of the worst rip offs I would think of.
it was not better then the MW2 and it was not better then BC2 either.
Maybe a lots changed since the beta..
in the beta the gus had almost zero recoil, sniper, ak, they all felt the same.
I have not been following what they have been doing with this since the beta, but if there is little change from what I played in the beta, sorry but as much as I hate activision and all that... I would rather get black ops.

I was really hoping this game would out do MW/cod but after the beta I completely lost interest in it. Maybe the single player will, but the MP, you got to be joking.

Halo 3 is forgettable, thats why up until reaches Launch halo 3 was like the second most played game on live, how many years later.

I played the demo, I kind of get what you mean, but I have to say I still prefer it to some that literally tell you to " press A " to jumb or climb an object and I mean everytime you want to climb something, press A.

I mean just about every hack and slash, platform, fps etc that give you the ability to jump, do so by having a simple Jump button.

nothing has happened to the younger Gen, it's just as Games have become more and more main stream, you have more and more adults trying to dictate what they think the kids want ( half these adults are not gamers themselves )
We see kids all the time trying to get hold of games outside of their age rating, but as the media has pumped more and more trash about games being bad for the kids, well the games are turning pink and fluffy.
