Agreed. I have a 360 for Gears and Halo, but I need to decide whether I want to continue paying for Live. Everything hinges on what Live will cost and the games that are there at launch. I may be able to hold off for a while depending.
I agree. I do want to be able to connect to my ps4 with other devices. I would like to be able to get alerts about patches or dlc or even buy games via my phone and download and install to ps4 while at work.
Far Cry 3 was awesome. Both GoW games are day ones for me. God of War will always be my favorite franchise though. Gears is my favorite 360 franchise though.
You judge it the same way many of the Nintendo fans on this site judged the WiiU based on a Zelda tech demo 2 years ago. The only difference is Sony had the architect come out and explain what was in the PS4 and the plan for the system. We then saw real time demos of a few games, video of others.
Ha, word.
Aren't u one of the guys that's wanting everyone to cut the WiiU some slack? You know, stop all the doom and gloom. Yet here you are in a PS4 topic leading the charge against it. This is fake. You know it, I know it, all game fans know it. There is no stopping the Sony hype train now. They nailed the reveal, get over it.
$600 in 2006/2007 is equal to $300 in 2012/2013? Where have I been?
Absolutely. There were a handful of Wii games you might have missed if you didn't own the system. That doesn't compare to the staggering amount of games you would miss if you had only a Wii and now WiiU. IF the next offerings from Sony/MS come in with a price point of $400, there is no choice for Nintendo but to drop the price of the WiiU drastically. We're talking low end 360 price. Otherwise I can see PS3 and 360 destroying the WiiU even after PS4/720 release.
Ha, 160 GB HDD is dirt cheap. The next gen systems won't launch with anything less than that.
Yeah if Vita launched with a new Mario game! Oh wait.....
Not to mention Dead Space 3 and DMC out now. Tomb Raider, GoW, Gears, BioShock etc
Games in the 80's and 90's were made with best technology on offer at the time.
Yeah man. I got to chapter 10 last night and I have to say that this game is great. There is a lot of health and ammo, but the amount of damage you take early and the sheer speed of enemies warrants it I think. I'm not sure I like the weapon crafting, but everything else is what I wanted. The dread of moving forward is definitely still there if you're playing at the right difficulty.
Absolutely. Long time fan here. I've never seen a GoW trailer that captured the reason for his demeanor so perfectly. The king has returned.
Vigil is hardly what the industry would call talented. It was average at best while it existed.
@Poprocks
If you're comparing WiiU's online infrastructure with Live, don't say 360. Live had its teeth cutting on the original Xbox. Live on 360 was sweet out if the box.
@Poprocks
He prolly commented because you mention WiiU in the same sentence with arguably the two best systems ever made.
Neonridr, the reason why Trine2 is better on WiiU is because they had over a year to refine it. All of us played it last year.
Its cheaper then the PS3/360 were in that period. You must have forgotten that.
$200 price tag won't help the WiiU. 360/PS3 prices will drop as well. More games, better online, movie playback etc.
