Ubisoft had nothing to do with Rainbow Six until the 3rd game. The first 2 games were created independently by Red Storm themselves, without any publisher support.

The 3rd game still had the feel of a rainbow six game. That said, Ubisoft issued a console port of that game, which was very different from the pc version. All i can say, is that it became very casual. That console port was later used as a model for the 4th game, and further rainbow six games.

So t...

First person wasn't really bad in Watch Dogs, on other hand collisions while driving were bad, ruining driving for the most part.

Well, the first 3 games involved a lot of platforming, most of the time you had to collect items thoughts the level to complete it, like collect 10 stars etc. to be honest, despite playing them when i was a kid, i don't really have any love for them in my heart. For me they are mediocre and frustrating. The soundtrack is great though, was composed by Jeremy Soule(cough* skyrim cough*).

4th game was more like the lego games Warner Bros makes. Despite all the hate it got, i...

It was released on pc(not the complete edition, but the game overall). TotalBiscuit made a video on it, advising to stay away from it cause it was locked to 30 fps.

Red Dead Redemption was originally developed for PS2/Xbox
http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...
Rockstar had to port it to PS3 and 360. Both these machines had different architectures, PS3 had cell(which is said to be more complex), while 360 had PowerPC.
PC uses x86 architecture. But you see, back then in 2010, pc steam's only had a userbase of 25 million acti...

#1 Used games give 0% profit to developers as well. So i guess it's equivalent to piracy on consoles.
#2 But it's digital content isn't it? Most of those insane sales happen on digital stores for the most part. Considering that it doesn't cost anything to make a digital copy, is putting a game on sale a loss? Or is it a clever marketing trick?

As you see, PC gaming has evolved and digital distribution has surpassed console's physical distribution. ...

Well, if the whole "x86 pc architecture" is true
Than GTA VI will probably come out on pc on the same date as console's

Well, there is 4K porn(look up Naughty America 4K)
And most games support 4K resolution, so it's not really as pointless as you think
4K screens cost ~500$ now days, but considering that 4K is 400% bigger than 1080p you are required to get 2 graphic cards - TITAN's, 780Ti's, R9 290X's

Piracy gives 0% profit to developers. Just like Used games. So you really think piracy is the problem(actually read my first comment, it will give you an understanding of why publishers will never abandon pc)
Sony and Microsoft probably bribed them
Look at the graphical downgrade of watch dogs
Look at destiny missing it's pc release, despite being an online only game(which means no piracy)
Look at GTA V getting delayed ... twice.

@ShaunCameron
Past 30 years?
You do know that without pc there would be no FPS and Western RPG's
There would be no Elder Scrolls, no Fallout, no Halo, no Killzone, no Call of Duty. Infact, i doubt that consoles would be as big as they are right now without Call of Duty.
Companies like Blizzard, Irrational, Bethesda, Bioware wouldn't exist without pc.
So yeah, be grateful for all that pc has done for the gaming industry.

GTA IV was
+ unoptimized
+ required GFWL(basically for those that's don't know, "insert disc 1 into tray")
+ was the worst one in the series
+ digital distribution wasn't as popular as it is now

Plus, i am not a fan of controllers(due to aiming with analog sticks), but driving sure is more fun with triggers than WASD
+ And PC didn't have official 360 gamepad support back then

Probably mods and ...

@FlameHawk
Games never stop to sell on pc, cause there is never a limit to how many copies a store can have.
Plus there are sales, and each time one happens, it will boost the purchases. And considering that these are all digital, developer doesn't loose anything for selling them for a cheaper price. In fact most developers especially indie, make much more on sales than on release

there*
it's just that sony ponies are panicking considering that most 3rd party exclusives last gen are turning their backs on them.

@Spartacus10
You paid £13.49 for an inferior version that plays at 720p and at 30 fps. That has no mod support. Ripped off? Yeah right.
BTW, i could have bought the legendary edition, it was 5$ more. But i don't support dlc's, no matter by how good it is.
Finally, i don't think you can call yourself a real gamer, if you are ready to trade away one of the best games of the decade for a profit of £00.51

Where pc gaming really excels is in game prices. You can literally grab any AAA title for 5-10$ on sale 9 month after release. Say goodbye to paying 60$ per game. Say goodbye to the paywall(subscription) that restricts you from playing with your friends. No more will your game library depend on your budget, you will be able to enjoy all of them. The only drawback to all that is you must have patience. You will have to wait for discounts, bundles, sometimes games will get delayed and even thes...

I doubt that it's gonna top GTA III: Vice City. Even if they duplicate the city, Vice City without the 80's will feel dull.

Take a look at 8800, that video card came out in 2006 and said to be 50% more powerful then PS3. It still can play games, at least the ones that came out in 7th gen. Also i want you to note that PS3/360 been playing most games at 720p or lower, and couldn't always have a stable 30 fps. Plus, this gen makes even a bigger reason to switch to pc. Online subscriptions, you would be paying them for the next 10 years, wasting 600$. Meanwhile, you can actually spend that money to upgrade your pc...
