He also said that Red Dead Redemption probably won't sell well in Europe, because European gamers aren't interested westerns. Some how I doubt that too.
ME trilogy PS3 version depends on what EA and Microsoft did agree when EA bought Bioware. Although Bioware/EA owns ME intellectual properties, MS did publish first ME and it did own rights for that. It's possible that EA and MS did agreed timed exclusivity for ME trilogy and EA did get rights for first ME or EA and MS did agree t...
"The SD "confirmation" came from a forum via a guy that many people know and trust. The HD "confirmation" came from a forum via a guy that no one but the people that know him personally know and trust. And that one is a real-er confirmation. Nice."
Alan Wake community is Remedys own forum in Remedy web page and admin (ADM) is always Remedy employee (if I remember correctly Sami Järvi (Sam Lake) has write some of ADM comments). Also many other Re...
No you are wrong captain-obvious.
Max Payne 1 & 2 were released those platforms, but Remedy did make only PC version of game. PS2 and X-box version of games were made by Rockstar (Vienna and Toronto) and Max Payne GBA version was done by Rockstar Leeds and Mac version was done by Macsoft.
Remedy is an small developer and in world scale it still is even they now have almost double amount of their employees from what they had when they did make Max Payne.
I remember time when you needed only 2 guys, one year and from 10000 to 20000$ to make blockbuster game. Some reason now days you need 50 to 400 persons, 3 to 6 years and from 30 to 100 million dollar to make blockbuster game. It's not just FUD when developers complain about how expensive and hard it's develop games to current gen consoles and PC.
Max Payne PC version was made by Remedy, but PS2 version was made by Rockstar Toronto and Xbox version was made by Rockstar Vienna. <...
In how many articles Nintendo/Xbox360 fanboys are saying some review/article is written by biassed author?
How many times Nintendo/Xbox360 fanboys are saying that they don't read some web pages/magazines reviews because they are so biased against their console?
How many petition Nintendo/Xbox360 fanboys are made because their consoles exclusive have went to another console?
"Search for Too Human review/criticism rebuttals if you'd really like to know."
What do you mean with that? I did check IGN, 1UP, Gamepro, etc. Too Human reviews and only time when word bias or biased was mentioned were when some PS3 owner did say that IGN is really biased, because they did give Too Human 7,8 points and Haze only 6 points.
I didn't find any XBox360 owners/fanboys saying anything about bias or biased reviews. Few did say that they feel that...
I just wonder are any other console owners than PS3 owners crying about "biased" reviews, when their favourite game doesn't get perfect 10 in every review?
I love Mass Mass 1 & 2, but I can understand if some reviewer will give those games 9 , 8 or even 7 instead of perfect 10. Reviews are always based on personal preferences. Metacritic can give some direction how "good" game is, but in the end it's all about your personal preferences.
It's...
"Nope, not enough daytime scenes, when it concerns actual gameplay. Do you perhaps a have a link with some more daytime footage? That would be very much appreciated."
How much would be enough? Problem is that most of plot is discovered during daytime scenes and Remedy doesn't want ruin game experience with too much of spoilers. In that video you can see how daytime scenes look like and you can read from IGN or Gamersydes preview that there is a lot of gameplay during da...
So Wii/iPhone are best consoles what there is, because those have most exclusives? I think not.
Only thing what should matter is how I can play Metro 2033, Splinter Cell, Mass Effect series, etc. games best way from my sofa with reasonable price.
I can't play those games with PS3. I can't play those games with Wii. I can play those games with PC, but creating PC set which my wife would approve to living room and which would run those games faster that 1 fps would co...
Why not Alan Wake on that list? I bet AW has better chances to be GoTY than Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days.
"Kung Foo panda was a holiday bundle. It was practically given for free when you purchased a 360 near christmas."
At least in Europe Resistance: Fall of Man and LBP were bundled with PS3 near Christmas. MGS4 was bundled with BC version of PS3 in US, which did increase MGS4 sales a lot (you couldn't get backwards compatible PS3 without MGS4).
Three most sold games on PS3 are multi-platform games. If you count out heavily bundled Resistance and GT5p out of t...
"ok, so it's fine if we show a bland track for GT, but if we do so for forza (for a fair comparison, bland track vs. bland track) and now we're biased? we could tossed in the london track from gt5 prologue and it would blow anything i've seen forza do away, but we wanted to keep it just between the demo and the game."
No, but there is very similar (or same I don't remember) track in Forza 3 too. Same amount of grass and race track structures like in GT5 trial. If you co...
Why didn't they choose same or similar track for both games in this comparison? Of course in GT5 case there isn't much where to choose at the moment, but why on earth to choose empty desert field to this comparison from Forza 3 side?
You have seen that Forza 3 have really nice environment textures and that is nice way to hide that. Let just choose track where is concrete and few buildings way back. It's quite sad that more and more of PS sites act like SDF in they articles.
There can't be any major changes for graphics made for game as huge as GT5 just in 4 months. If that trial really is showing graphics level what GT5 currently have, then there won't be any major changes to that.
In GT5p there wasn't same physics engine and same amount of features (car damage, weather effects?, etc.) as GT5 will have. All that will take resources from memory and processing power of PS3. I wonder did they make GT5 too big and it's now seen in much more flat environ...
I have seen GT5p and I know it's much better looking than this trial. I just can't understand why Sony did release this peace of "#¤%& if final product is graphically same or even better level than GT5p.
It's like you would go to local Ferrari dealer and ask him about best car what there is.
He will show you astounding images and videos of coming new model and you all exited about that model. Then you ask when you could get that car to test drive and he...
Still. Why downgrade demo to 220 Mb. In Xbox Live there have been demos over 1,5 Gb. Why they couldn't just publish proper demo with graphic engine what GT5 is going to use?
You would think that it's much bigger work to build downgraded engine for small demo, than just use real engine and give one track and one car with that.
"between a RELEASED and UNRELEASED GAME!!!
Jesus this is absolutely insane =/"
There is less than 4 months to GT5 release so there can't be major differences between current build and final build. And this really isn't first time when here is comparison between released and unreleased game.
One stupid question: Why in world Sony did release 220Mb demo (time trial, what ever) with "stripped" graphics? Forza 3 demo was BAD, but seen those in game images from that time trial of GT5, it looks really downgraded compared to GT5p.
E.g. there is over 1,5Gb demos in Live. Why Sony didn't publish proper demo from GT5 if it's going to be publish in 3 months?
Sony must known that demo would be compared to Forza 3 right after release. It was obvious and pu...
"just a reminder,
sony invented this kind of controlls years ago with eyetoy, natal is a ripoff with extra features. Sony is just evolving theyre OWN tech, and will definatly bring it to the gaming market in the future.
natal is awesome, but its a blatant steal from sony ... again...."
FIXED!
Sega invented this kind of controls years ago with Dreameye, eyetoy is a ripoff with extra features. Sony is just evolving Sega's tech, and w...
"Unless there's a specific deal in place with the actual IP, publishing doesn't usually mean too much.
Ninja Gaiden II was also published by Microsoft, but because they don't own the IP, Tecmo could publish elsewhere. Similarly, Demon's Souls was published by Sony in Japan, Atlus in the US and Namco Bandai in EU, but Sony own the IP."
That true, but I'm quite sure that MS and Bioware did have deeper agreement about first ME, because Bioware weren't planning...
