The console war will become a war focussed on which console can upgrade better without disturbing the type of media it plays. How can console become more PC like? Ummm last I checked E3 stands fo Electronic Entertainment Expo. Hence: ELECTRONIC=The hardware= PS4,Project Morpheus, etc. Then the ENTERTAINMENT=The Games, then EXPO=The place to show it all off.
If it were all about the Games then E3 would be an inappropriate title.
Why don't they ever seem to grasp the concept of "E3".

This war started with Nintendo and Sega.. It's a war that will never end. For as long as there are multiplatforms on shelves the war will always be there. As long as there are comparison videos the war will keep going. As long as there are game company milestone to achieve in the visuals there will always be this war. And as long as microsoft can continue ignoring early XB1 adopters (with kinect) the war can remain intense.
This coinsides with my theory that Sony gets it right when it comes to these conventions. E3 (Electronics Entertainment Expo) Sony got it right by showing Electronics and Entertainment Microsoft got it wrong by not showing Electronics. Now Gamescon is up and its all about the games.

Adding to @kingthrask360. I hear those exact same words whenever I am in Gamestops in my area. I question what I see. In both Gamestop and Best buys in my Area as well as joining states when in Gamestop X1 consoles are NOT playable. They are demo video players. PS4 on the other hand have actual playable consoles with demo games installed. Most playable demo shown is Knack, a kid friendly game. So Naturally what are kids going to do? Play and demo on what they can put there hands on a try out....
Yeah my question to this has been... When the HDD space runs out then what??? When those Annual games sports in particular hit shelves making previous year obsolete, then what? Chances are you'll never load previous year again. Those are better physical.
I am starting to disagree with that logic of securing exclusives can make a platform successful. I tend to not be attracted to reviews from sources that review games that have not made it available to the public. It always seems weighted to me. Loot boxes are not the problem. It's how loot boxes are acquired. I like Overwatch's concept.
