I totally understand why you did that because when I started playing it was right at the start of the latest Halloween event so I haven't progressed as much as you normally would. And I did notice myself getting a little frustrated with that lack at progression and starting to look at how to cheat the game and quicken things up. So I can empathize with you completely.
Haha! No, I totally agree. Like I said in the piece.. they utilize The Simpsons universe so well and you can tell that it's been made and supported by people who are genuine fans of the series.
Yes! It's brilliant isn't it? They always seem to be updating it constantly too which is nice.
Reading all the comments above has made me feel much better about myself hahaha! At least I'm not the only one still playing it,
Not sure I agree. I don't think the game (Walking Dead) isn't meant to be played in such a manner. You're meant to emphasise with the character really than hate or love them. It's a lot less 'cut and dry' than that.
What do you mean by taken away? I thought Dark Souls (launch problems aside) bettered Demon's Souls on every level.
Have you tried Dark Souls II? Even though it's the latest instalment, i'd say it's probably the best entry point for people new to the series or have been 'burnt' by the series in the past.
Agreed since the patch it's a lot better.
Cheap? Really?
Hmmm I agree to some extent. I don't believe people should try the series though.
Whilst I have mixed feelings about Dark Souls II, the way it's made itself easier to pick up and play is a stroke of genius.
It may be simpler than Magic The Gathering but it's also far more accessible as a result. It might seem dumbed down to you but the fact that Hearthstone opens the genre up to people that were put off by the likes of Magic is a great thing.
Couldn't agree more. I'm especially looking forward to new heroes being introduced.
Disagree with your statement so much. There's nothing that you can currently buy which you can't earn by playing the game.
Vanquish, El Shaddai, Wonderful 101 (partly down to bad WiiU marketing) Bayonetta. Am I the only one seeing a pattern emerging here ..?
Wow! So much love for the game, yet it sold really REALLY badly. I don't understand.
Definitely agree on the Vanquish point. Such a great game.
Think you maybe being a bit harsh on the story front. I actually think crafting an original Sci-Fi story that's engaging and unpredictable is quite an achievement.
@CrossingEden Some very interesting points, that's for the comment!
Got to say @Warj nailed it on the head. The point you raised about nostalgia masking imperfections is something I found and touched on in the article but I definitely feel a whole article dedicated to this subject is a grand idea. Perhaps a follow up piece is in order.
For the record, I don't dislike ICO, SOTC or OOT at all. They are 3 brilliant games and I immensely enjoyed playing all 3. My issue was that they are being held in the same regard as others, when they are (...
@safeword Couldn't agree more.
Hahaha! That's one way to look at it.
