Exactly. If only the Nvidia Shield ($300 at release and 16GB of storage) had first party support and more advertising it would have been a beast. If the Vita had games it would have been a beast. Say what you want about the Wii and WiiU Nintendo has been the best at handhelds for a while. So we have to wait and see what kind of support the Switch will have, but the design as a handheld is fine, and the fancy docking station is actually nice. (I have had no problems with scratches, but I play ...

No Chug, but if you skipped the WiiU then getting the Switch with Zelda is a good launch. If you already have a WiiU then its probably not worth getting right now. I skipped the WiiU because I was never given a reason to get one, and bought the Switch at launch because for me BOTW and what I think will happen in the future for the handheld gave me a reason to.

I am hoping for some first party or third party joy-cons that are specifically made to be used while playing as a handheld that are bigger and more ergonomic.

Its a mobile device with a fancy docking system. Its been 6 years since 3ds. Don't get confused and think this is a home console despite Nintendo's marketing. Hopefully it consolidates the Nintendo games to one system, but Nintendo tends to make bad decisions so I wouldn't be surprised for a more powerful home console released in a few years with a stupid name.

That's a lie. I live in central Indiana and I don't know of a single store to have any in stock or I would get one. I just checked with Fryes and the closest one to me doesn't have one.
