I agree. This game should just let the environments guide the player, and good level design will naturally guide you to your objective. They could add a hub world where you can see a briefn description of what you have to do to collect a chaos emerald or something, like Mario 64. Then after that your on your own. That would be sweet.

You are definetly correct. Like i mentioned, the PS2 had Quantity AND quality games. This was a bi product of the system being heavily supported by developers, its kind of a case of 'the more darts you randomly throw at the dartboard, the more times you will hit a bullseye'. This did however lead to alot of shovelware on ps2, but the good faaaar out-weighed the bad. I find it sad how we struggle to find quality JRPG's this ge...
