I have to admit that this is a series that passed me by. I feel disappointed - I guess I am obligated to invest in this now it's on the 360...

The Wii isn't exactly a complicated console to use... but I tell you what, that is about as good an endorsement that Nintendo can get. Presidential endorsement is the holy grail of advertisement.
Third selling fastest because the market is vastly bigger now. Sony are finding their feet in the current gaming generation. Far more people are playing games now than they used to, and whilst the sales numbers are high overall, it is a low number today, because the market is much bigger.
Then you'd be dead too. ;)
I'd have to agree with you.
The "What If" articles are theoretical. I try to write about things that gamers may wonder about.
I realise that the articles aren't "news", but what I'm trying to do is to get gamers to think about the possibilities. What would have happened if Microsoft made a handheld console? What if Sony had produced and the released the PS3 before the 360?
They're hypothetical.
Some would say there would ...

Almost like a parallel universe, where the PS3 is bigger than the 360, the world’s economy is stable, fears of global warming are non-existant, the weather is nice, people are happier, the world is safer, and politicians would know what they are talking about a lot more."
