If you have listened to Pachter in the past, you'd know he's rarely right, if he's ever been right at all. The consoles will launch next year. Microsoft (and most likely Sony) will start leaking legit images of the console come first quarter next year, in order to start building hype for their E3 unveiling.
If you noticed all games shown at this E3 for the Xbox 360 or PS3 are for games coming out this year or 1st quarter next year. None were advertised as com...
Gives a whole new definition for Base Jumping. Start off at base and jump. Hahaha.
Before looking at this footage, my thoughts were that the Xbox would be on par with the PS3, or slightly better based upon previous multi-platform comparisons. However, after looking at this, granted I'm not sure if this is alpha or beta footage, I think it falls behind the PS3, IMHO. I'm no longer hyped about this game for its graphic quality. However, that won't affect my decision. My decision has always been to buy it for the 360 because Xbox Live and BF's awesomely bal...
Bring on the variable weather and night and day options. Lost Planet used this in their MP and it was freakin amazing. Really added a new element to the game. I've been hoping for another AAA game would do the same. So far none have. I really hope Battlefield does. It would fuckin' tits.
Awesome as ****! Only thing that would top this is a beta announcement.
Or even some 360 footage. What's the holdup? Maybe DICE just wants me to buy a PC. That's fine. I'll hook it up to my TV with wireless controller. What do I need?
On a side note, Anyone know of live footage being streamed from the BF3 booth at Games Con?
@Voxelman-I agree that with your statements. Microsoft (and Sony) views Apple as their biggest competitor. They see that Apple has been successful in quickly pulling the casual market to their devices.
Apple could eventually market themselves to core gamers through AAA partnerships and/or company acquisitions, branding gaming controllers and creating their own Live service, (including both wired and wireless connections to your TV)anything they needed to appeal to the cor...
I haven't played the multiplayer yet, other than the demo, but that doesn't count in my book. But those of you on the hook about buying or renting...The single player is f'n amazing IMO. At first, a little slow, not much of a challenge, but now as you fight the "squid", its more challenging and exciting. Along with great graphics, the visuals and cutscenes I find to be stunning. But, I find what impresses me the most is the story and how they are telling it. I am on...
I couldn't be more excited. I don't get why PS3 fans think we would be upset to hear the news. I kinda think its funny to see that the PS3 fanboys are now rejoicing when all I see them do is rip on Bungie and Halo games. As a fan of both consoles, I hope whatever they do that they actually build on the PS3 engine and port it to Xbox 360 to see if they can produce a better looking game on PS3 vs. Xbox 360.
Sure it may do more than a Wii Controller, but from what I've seen it will only serve a purpose for the casual gamer or former Wii owner. I totally see this as no more than Sony's attempt to capture the Wii audience. Me, a hardware gamer, does not want to use two controllers to play SOCOM 4, or any FPS, as was demonstrated, when I can play with the just the one.
ask the question: Would have the industry been better with just the PS3?
As an 360/PS3 owner, I prefer to play most games on 360 for many reasons, but one main reason is due to the poor porting of PS3 games. However, when I see these great PS3 exclusives, it only makes you think that all games would/could be at this level of quality hadn't the 360 existed. Because it does exist, and it has a larger install base, it doesn't make sense for developers to take advantage of the...
I was wondering when this news was going to post. Ray Miller from Realtime Worlds nodded when asked if APB was due to launch in 2009. Since then I've been waiting to hear or see something regarding this title. But it makes sense that Microsoft wants them to keep quiet until E3. I can't wait to see some gameplay......
I think most of you are missing the point. Why did only 5% of PS3 owners pick up Killzone 2? Are only 5% interested in a AAA FPS? I don't understand it either. It could be the advertising. Sure the die hard gamers knew KZ2 was coming, but maybe not the casual gamer. There was very little mainstream advertising. But then again, I don't think PS3 owners are casual gamers.
I believe this game, if it was/is possible on the Xbox 360 (we'll never know) would have sold far great...
That speaks to the games success and popularity. Clearly if people think this game is dead or lame or whatever, your definitely speaking to the minority. If Killzone 2, even reaches half of that before dying I would be surprised. I've played KZ2 and the graphics are great but gameplay is so-so. It's all about the game play, not just graphics. Unless you like to join games just to run around and map and observe how pretty the game looks. Graphics alone won't allow KZ2 to achieve 1 billio...
I've played about 14 hours of Killzone 2 and found it to be a total clusterf*** more often than not. Guys spawning everywhere running around with a shotgun trying to shoot the same guy 3 or 4 times dancing around a room. Its totally retarded to watch. No tactic involved. The larger maps are great. The smaller maps mixed with the objectives create mass hysteria and a massive headache. That's when I hit the off button. I'm done.
So far I've found nothing that can surpass Halo 3. Halo 4 will surely be even better. I've played about 14 hours of Killzone 2 and just about tired of it. All combat is up close in your face and generally confined to a room. Players are squeezing into a room to shoot someone without any kind of tactic whatsoever. But what else can you do, it's how GG designed it. I prefer the larger maps where sniping and using a rifle are more effective. Plus, I like Halo because of the vehicles. The...
For those of you who didn't like the first one, your the minority. This game has the best visuals (weather conditions, explosions, scenery) I have seen compared to other games. I wish more games would offer weather/night conditions in muli-player matches like Lost Planet does. The audio is certainly up there as well. Gameplay is unique and balance from the weapons to the the use of mechs. Simply awesome!
Rapelay! Its the Japanese hit everyone's talking about. You rape mothers and their daugthers. My girlfriend and I play it all the time. Its hours of fun!!! I highly recommend it.
That sounds awesome. I've been waiting for a game like this. Unfortunately, I'm not a PC gamer. I hope its rated T and not M because I'm only 12 and my mom might have a problem with me buying this one.
Must we complain about everything??? We don't even now sh!t about this yet, but we're complaining that a sequel is coming and coming too soon??? Bunch of internet babies. It might be everything we wanted in BF3 that we didn't get. I personally was hoping for a Bad Company sequel, but if we get BF4, on a next gen console, 24v24 battles, vast improvements over the previous title, what's not to love? They are not like COD because DICE hasn't and won't stick with the ...
