Non-story. Assuming this is simply Amazon limiting pre-orders until a release date is set. Once the date is announced (likely at E3) you won't have any issue hopping on Amazon and ordering a copy.
Kind of relieved. As much as I was looking forward to this it give's me a bit of breathing room. I have such a backlog of games I want to play at this point I doubt I would have a chance to touch it until 2017 anyway.
I was excited about the Neo announcement. The only Sony console I didn't buy on day one was the original PlayStation and that is because I had just gone to college, was broke and didn't pick one up until Christmas. I picked up day one Move controllers and am waiting for my PSVR headset to be delivered. I point this out because when I make the statement that I have ZERO desire to pick up this console at launch it's a big deal (and really surprised my wife). There was nothing i...
Tried and failed. 9:58 est. Refresh refresh refresh... there it is and as soon as I clicked it said it was no longer available from this seller. Shame. I'll have to try again when the core system goes up. Can't be annoyed. I want to buy one and Sony really want's to sell as many as they can make. I'll get my chance. Who knows how many units were actually up for grabs. Smart of them if they're engineering demand like the Wii did at launch. The whole thing is a great b...
Not putting this game down but keep in mind that Pre-Alpha usually means "vertical slice". I love Guerilla games and they do amazing work. I expect this game to be up to their standards. This isn't an Ubi bait and switch. Of course what we saw is going to look good. This pre-alpha will look better than the finished product. That's the nature of the biz.
Stupid article. This feels to me like damage control. MS finally realizes that they are going to have to counter some of the Morpheus E3 thunder with this deal. Sony is coming on strong.
Making fun of the clean living room is silly. I walked away from a 10 minute Oculus demo last week and was motion sick for a good amount of time after. Sitting helped so perhaps the virtual room may be the only way to get this into peoples living rooms without them throwing up all over t...
The FPS mechanics were solid. The gameplay was great. The universe was waaay too limited, character classes were too similar and the grinding tedious very early on. I was out by November.
I don't think that anyone expects a zero failure rate. Only frustrating thing here is that if I buy a Bluray player and it doesn't work out of the box I can go back to the store and grab another off the pile. For us gamers who got stuck with a pre-ordered brick of a PS4, we can't simply go get another one. There is no stock anywhere and from what I've heard from various gamestop/target/walmart and toysRUs managers it looks like it will be hard to get one until after Xmas. ...
My PS4 is one of the Amazon paperweights. I don't know if the internet has blown this out of proportion or not. All I know for certain is that my personal current failure rate is 100% If it is just a vocal minority then so be it. We will all forget about this once we get to play. If this is in fact a larger issue then Sony is doing a great job of keeping this under control. The little info gleaned from the Amazon and Sony CSR made me think Amazon got a bad batch. That's why the...
Actually looking forward to getting back into this. Definitely one of the first games (right after Resogun) I'll be downloading as soon as I unbox my ps4 tonight after work. The screen shots look great. Got it for the PS3 and played it quite a bit for the first couple of weeks. Got tired of the shoddy voice chat and soon enough people (me included) started drifting away. Tried going back some time later but it was a ghost town on the servers. I thought it was fun but flawed on the ...
It's not incompetence. They ARE getting a rise... It's basically Sony marketing without paying a cent and it's brilliant. Gamers are waiting with baited breath for every dribble of info they can get. They're systematically turning up the hype and when they do give a launch date (I'd be surprised if it's not for the U.S. Thanksgiving weekend) everyone is going to go crazy due to the anticipation. People want this game. People have bought PS's just for this game...
Sony won't drop the price. Sony needs to focus on the games... Microsoft is going to come out swinging with Fable2 and Gears2 (which looks great btw). Come E3 I figure Sony can easily be a buzz kill to that party by throwing out the big hitters (LBP, KZ2, and now Resistance2) but the real deciding factor will be the new and under the radar IP's that no one is even thinking about. No one but us that is. The forgotten titles like L.A. Noire, White Knight Story, Heavy Rain and Afrika or the ...
Microsoft has been showing Cuphead for 3 years as the basis of their "see guys, We have Indies too" campaign. It's not just Sony that does this but I find it interesting how Sony is being vilified for this behavior. Games take a long time to make... years. I don't see anything wrong with showing what the future is going to hold. For me that's what E3 is all about and that's why I get excited. The only thing I hate is vaporware. Hey RockStar... Still waiting...
