for desktop. You can run games at 1080p and use DLSS/FSR to 1440p with DSR to get better picture quality.1080p monitors need to disappear imo, its not like you cant lower an 4k/2k to 1080p in games and enjoy higher fps to match the high refresh rate. ffs my fat crt in 1990 had higher resolution
